Anyone used this service to purchase their new Tundra? They seem to have good prices without all the hassle. If you have please post your experience.
Thanks!! |

This is no bull either, because the truck I wanted none of the Utah dealerships had. There was one in Colorado however, so the first dealership said they could get it for me and it would cost me X amount. While I was there I wrote down the VIN number, went to another dealership who participated in the Costco program, they got me the truck and it was $3,000 less than the other dealership. When I first started shopping for Tundras, most of the dealerships tried to stick me with MSRP, which I will never pay no matter how popular the vehicle is. The best I'd have been able to do walking in off the street is an SR5 with very few accessories. With the Costco program I was able to buy a fully loaded Limited for the same price. No matter what program on the internet you use you're going to save money, because when the "Internet Department" from the dealership contacts you, you're actually going through Fleet sales, which is totally different than walking in as a regular customer. You still need to be careful though and check out several fleet deals, as one dealership can still be $300 to $500 dollars more than the next.

Fleet sales and Internet sales are truly becoming two different areas at most dealerships these days, with more and more traffic coming from internet and not just commercial companies needing vehicles. Also, the types of people looking to buy internet are also looking for more options and accessories than a typical no frills fleet truck. But it is wise to ask questions.

A friend of mine is the Fleet/Internet manager over at our local Toyota. I went in to price a Tundra and she printed me out an invoice that had their price and the MSRP for every option and base of the truck. She was offering me their price for everything. I just haven't had the chance to go back to see what she can do for me on an 08, but I'll be back there within the next few weeks. Can't wait. Only hold up has been the lease I'm in now. It's due to mature early January.
