plus dashboard and spaces and everything being drag and drop makes posting on forums quick and easy. since you have a mac, im gonna let you in on a little secret program thats PERFECT for putting pictures in forums.

its called grabup. its free. GrabUp - Lightning Fast Screen Grab Sharing! what it does, lets say you're looking at a picture and you want to link it into a forum, usually you'd have to save the picture, then upload it to your own server like photobucket or image shack, and then put in the img code. but with grabup, you simply hold down command+shift+4 and crosshairs come on the screen, you select the picture, and then it automatically saves the picture to your desktop, PLUS uploads it to a free grabup server, AND puts the URL of the newly uploaded picture into your clipboard.

so all you have to do is put the image code and post the URL. the whole process takes about 5 seconds. see like this.

its basically like pressing the PRINTSCREEN button on windows, but it lets you select what you actually want "printscreened".

its one of the coolest programs ive seen for macs. a friend of mine told me there's a similar option for Windows users, but i dont know anything about it nor do i care!

muahahahahhaha
Thanks for the tip, I'll it!

I was messing around with one this morning at the Mac store in the back office...I like it. Pretty much the same if you have a jailbroken iPhone.

I believe the new rule is that if you buy your iPhone at the Mac store, you need to activate it right there in the store before you leave, which helps people use cash to buy the phone.

All sold iPhones need to be activated.

Your iPhone date plan goes up 10 bucks as well. The phone is cheaper but you pay more a month. It was a marketing scheme.

You can also purchase it without activating it for $600.

I've had my iPhone since it came out last year. I've hacked it, jailbroken it, did everything possible to make it better. I just couldn't. I like the new one, but I think the BlackBerry Bold will do a better job.

I'm a total Mac guy. I have a Macbook Air I currently use, I upgraded from a MacBook Pro. My parents have iMacs in their offices because I changed their minds about PCs...don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Mac fan, but, I just like the BlackBerry bold a lot better.

Cmon, an iPhone cant receive or send MMS? No instant messaging besides text? GPS had to come out on the second time out?

I can buy a 45 dollar phone at an AT&T store and do more standard things with it than I can with a iPhone.

My iPhone has been good to me. It looks and works like shit right now simply because its met the pavement about 100+ times.

Almost all my friends have BlackBerrys, so I really want the BB messenger as an option.

Although the only thing I'll miss is cheaper service. Right now with AT&T I get 2500 minutes a month, free nights and weekends, unlimited mobile to mobile, and the unlimited iPhone date plan for 53 bucks a month. I know with the Blackberry I'll have to pay more.

been using macs for years with my part time business, love em. Only thing holding me back from the iphones is the 3g service....cant tether em plus the speed is nowhere near Rev A. Since i have my battery operated wifi access point maybe I will get it, since i no longer need the tether from my phone...more mac goodness makes me smile

MMS? LOL. who sends mms's? That's a dying technology. The reason apple doesn't have it is because it is the leader in technological breakthroughs and doesn't put anything in their devices that is dated and useless. Saying you want a BB Bold because it has MMS, is like saying you wouldn't buy a car because it doesn't have a cassette player. Why would you send an MMS when you can send an email?

because alot of people arent using pda type phones .. and they still use MMS .. i still get MMS messages, i dont send them, but i do receive them.

What about instant messanger? is the iphone finally going to come out with something to support aim?

also, e-mail will probably always be faster on the blackberry

and the blackberry will surf the web faster than the iphone

but i wont switch to the blackberry bold unless it comes out for verizon

my friends with at&t are always having reception issues

but on the other hand .. the new iphone is just a badass phone

i currently use the blackberry 8830

im torn

Because not everyone that you know has an iPhone.

I'm 21, I dont get business emails or PDF emails. I get chain texts and chain pictures, sometimes video. When someone sends it out, they just choose a number and it can send fine...I feel bad that some people have to send a seperate MMS to my email just so I can get in on what everyone was laughing about or something ya know?

Not all my friends are high-tech as me. Everyone I know is usually fine with shwag, Steel Reserve, a free phone, and a 91 Thunderbird to be happy. I on the other hand need me some good kush, Hoegaarden, a high-tech phone, and a new truck.

I have needs!
