Politics are always a tough subject, lets try to keep it clean and just have a peaceful debate.

you are right. it is a touchy subject, i just take extreme offense to accusations that someone who just very well may be our next president doesn't take the pledge of allegiance.

I'm not voting due to the fact that none of the candidates are worth a single vote. THIS IS THE SADDEST GROUP OF CANDIDATES EVER!!!
Who in their right mind would vote for Obama with all of the baggage he is carrying around.

I'm shocked you could even find any other topics on this forum !

By Islam law he actually would be a Muslim, because once you are one you can't change and he was how many years in this radical school?!
Of cause here in the US that is not the case and you can change, in other parts of the world that could cost your life!
Then Jeremiah Wright. As soon the heat is on, he drops his church?!
I say, not someone with strong principals!
But whatever, I think church and politics are two different things which don't mix.
His connections to the “Blank Panther” and Louis Farrakhan are more disqualifying points in my book!!

But back to “Change”.
One thing he wants to do is to reinstate the AWB (Assault Weapon Ban) from 1994.
That this law sold more assault weapons and magazines then anything else is a fact of life.
So what other great ideas does he have? So far I have not heard about one detailed plan!

So when you are done laughing, why don’t you tell us what exactly he will bring and is America really such a lousy place to live that it needs to change 180°???

who gives a ****? "muslim law" also says its ok to blow yourself up and be rewarded with virgins (according to the extremists). When the hell did we start caring about what muslim law says? The guy is a Christian for God's sake.
This is America. The land of the free, and the land of an extremely powerful intelligence agency. I assure you, full background checks have been done on Obama. If he had anything to do with being a muslim, he would not be where he is today.

he dropped his church because the pastor was saying ridiculous things that were harming his career. he didn't drop HIS RELIGION. just wanted to distance himself from people who open their mouths a bit too much.

i am not aware of his desire to reinstate this ban. i am a gun owner, so that would bother me but i wont comment on this until i have done further research.
why is that whenever it comes time for elections, the number one thing people jump at is "they're trying to take away my guns". NO ONE can ever take away our guns. we all have them. they're here to stay. how many assault rifles do people need to own anyway? 30? 40? i'd like to at least have one! (they're illegal here in california :-( )

I dont want to sound like im working for Obama, because im not. Im merely responding to your outrageous claims that stem from stupid rumor sites online. I heard the rumors too, they were discussing them on talk radio, but everyone agreed they are false. Its also been discussed on the news several times.
America is the greatest place to live on earth. We are the most protected, most powerful, and most advanced nation. It really is a land of opportunities where you can go from rags to riches and fulfill the American dream. Its not a lousy place to live at all, its just that in the past few years, things have fallen a bit out of place. To deny the fact that the bush administration has degraded the nation's general quality of life would be foolish. Obama is not the bush administration. McCain is. Many of his policies are similar to bush's. Anyone that is interviewed on the subject says that McCain will just be another bush.

Well naye i say to thee. I have had enough of watching the market go to shit, house prices fall, people become evicted from their homes. Thousands of US citizens die in a country that we should not even be in. It hurts to see mothers talk about their lost sons on tv. It hurts to watch families lose their homes. It hurts to see so many other things that have gone wrong, all of which may possibly have been prevented.

There's no such thing as a perfect politician. There's some darkness to each of them. But like i said in an earlier post, i dislike obama a lot less than i dislike mccain. and thats my 20 cents.

4x4Balls:

With all what you wrote, you did not bring one new argument!
But you repeated nicely all the hate paroles of the democrats!
Catchy paroles without substance!

Who "cares" (not to use your expression) about Muslim law are millions of Muslims and by the way all of Obama’s relatives on the father side!
Background check? They don’t check for ideology, as a government shouldn’t!

It’s quite ironic that you don’t know about the AWB, since you live already under it.
While the AWB does not only outlaws AW style weapons, the magazine ban is the other side and not one crime is stopped because the criminal had only 10 rounds in his gun!
While CA had outlawed even before the AWB all the goodies which fall under the NFA status!
From what Obama said so far about guns is, that he sees “no need” for any guns besides hunting and that guns should be banned from cities!
Obama stated that one of the first things he would do is to reinstate the AWB!
A useless law to fight crime and only suppresses the rights of honest citizen, because criminals don’t follow laws anyway!

If you don’t like how things went in the last years, well you live in CA, the biggest democratic state.
When I hear what is illegal in CA, I would not like it either. You blame Bush, instead of Feinstein or Arnold who are responsible for the way you live!

But back to the key question:
What are the changes Obama will do?? Do you know?

Obama, in my opinion, will be the better choice. Normally, I vote republican but its time for a change. If McCain is voted in, nothing will change and the economy, war, etc. will continue in its already downward spiral. McCain will just be an extension of Bush and continue on the destructive path that Bush has led. If Obama is elected, at least there will be some change. I don't expect to see things happen over night, but at least the ball can get rolling. I have friends that are being deployed to Iraq for the 2nd and for some, the 3rd time. For what? Great guys are risking their lives because Bush doesn't want to admit he's wrong and start pulling back. At least if Obama is elected, we will see a decrease in troops being sent overseas and more coming home. Just my 2 cents.

DONT EVER FORGET ABOUT 9/11/01. THEY ARE RISKING THEIR LIVES BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THEY CHOOSE TO DO. I KNOW BECAUSE I WAS ONE OF THEM AT ONE TIME. NO MATTER WHO IS PRESIDENT, IT IS THEIR CALL TO DUTY. HONOR, DUTY COUNTRY. LIKE IT OR LEAVE IT!!!

The Brady Bill was enacted when Republicans controlled both the house and the senate and signed into law by Clinton in 1993 . So you can't say it was just because of Democrats .
There are more serious things going on right now with economy so I doubt very much that any new President will be worrying about gun control .
When asked 2 weeks ago about the economy McCain siad it was doing fine . He's married to an Hieress so what the heck does he know .
He's also made statements regarding job creation under his buddy Bush, saying that it's created jobs . Fact is it's negative 1 million , and he's also for outsourcing jobs to other countries , I know how great that is for our citizens that lost thier jobs and now are losing thier homes .
He's for continuing to give Tax relief to the Oil companies as well , you know they really need the money .
How about the renewable fuels for his home state , ethanol costs as much per gal. to produce and gets worse mpg . Along with higher corn prices comes higher food costs for the farmers and for us . Milk is going for over 4.00 a gallon and bread about 3.00 a loaf .
Oil was trading at 45.00 dollars a barrel before the war , the cost of the war was going to be paid for with Iraq oil money .
Well the U.S has not seen one dollar from Iraq since day one , and McCain says it's ok and that we need to continue to rebuild Iraq and make it a free nation .
If they are so worried about free nations what about Saudi Arabia ? That's where the 911 highjackers came from , a place that is ruled by a Royal Family that have had long ties to the Bush family . A place that imports thier workers and still flogs people and is now the Corporate Headquarters of Haliburton , you know the one that got the no bid contract for both wars . Well now all that money they get from us is Tax free . That should be nice for Cheny when he goes back to his old civilian job .

It's time for a change indeed , one for the better , for someone with no ties to crooked companies .
Oh by the way , why is it that McCain the Reformer had more Lobbyists working for his campaign than anyone else ?

Well, looked at a glance at this very nicely made up file, it gives some ideas, but it does not answer key issues of a low experienced candidate.
Bottom line, I don’t trust the guy and beside nice speeches, there is little he has to show for.
Don't get me wrong, McCain is not my candidate either, but the lesser evil!
