Wow, Hope nobody kicks my but here. But mcain all the way, Change is what Obama speaks, yea right he wants to take are gun rights away, Democrats = raising taxes !!! Yea thats what I want. And Bill you do not liver on the highest tax states, Try illinois, They have the highest taxes. You think you have high taxes now just wait to see if obama makes office.
I lived in Wheaton. Il. and Elgin , Il . , I know about the taxes .
But my Truck plates cost me over $400.00 here and would have cost me maybe $ 100.00 in Il. , we also just got the state sales tax raised again to 7%.
Just remember you enjoyed a Republican controlled house , senate and white house for the first 6 yrs of the current admin. This Pres. never vetoed a spending bill and oil was below $ 50.00 a barrel when he took office .
The big 3 oil companies got big oil contracts in Iraq last month too , wonder how they got those contracts ? Oh , I almost forgot Chenney's old company Haliburton also got the only No Bid Contracts for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan , and they recently announced moving thier corporate Hq to Dubai where they will pay $0 dollars on the Billions of Our tax dollars being spent to make them rich .
That's the same company that was buying fuel in Kuwait for $3.00 a gal. and then selling it to our Military for between $6.00 and $8.00 a gal. , mind you they are using Trucks that we buy and getting military escorts both on the ground and in the air .
We also have the biggest deficit in the history of our nation and will not know the true costs because the costs of the wars were not included in the firgures .
What do you mean not pay for them Bill ??? thats your money Bill. You shoul get back some of what you pay into. The problem is the democrats giving all our money to people that dont want to work for a living, Hell, give them all medical cards and a chech each month, why not ?? lol,,, Thats whats happening, Thses illegal immigrants come in this country and get a medical card handed to them along with a monthy check,,all On youy and I to pay for it. Screw the Democrats !!! You work u get paid, U pay into the system you get back, Thats how it shopuld be!!

Did you vote for this Gov. in Indiana too , just because he's a Republican ?
Just asking because he was here last year to announce a company had just got $4 million in loans from the state to open the old Majestic fire place plant and create 200 jobs . Well that company took the money and closed the doors last month and filed for bankruptcy protection .
What about paying IBM to manage the state medicare program for over 1 billion dollars , and the really great idea of the 75 year lease of the nothern tollway . One the foriegn company got the lease signed the added more toll booths and tripled the tolls .
You are making things worse by perpetuating this crap.
Yes some corn was used to make ethanol, but there was much more corn produced than the previous year specifically for ethanol. In other words - there was 2 more bushels of corn produced for every bushel that went to make ethanol. Yes prices went up a little, but would you rather see the farmers in Iowa making a decent living finally or line the pockets of some Saudia Arabian prince?
It does get less mileage than gas, but costs much less than gas. If it gets half the mileage of gas, but costs a third as much - isn't that better?
Not entirely sure about the subsidy thing, but I would think that it is..... is oil? Cheese? Chrysler? wind turbines? efficient windows? the fact is that the US government has its hands in just about everything - either through direct subsidies, taxes, tarrifs, import restrictions, etc... they "help out" a lot of industries.

All of these things are no short term solutions.
With short term I mean by the way the next 5 years!
The only way to keep our way of life is by drilling in the US now and built at the same time more refineries!
The minute this law would be signed by the President, oil on the world market would drop below the $100 a barrel!!!
Now look who is blocking a new drill law?!
It’s not the evil Republicans; it’s in the first row Botox Nancy!
Now why would she not want to bring the American people cheaper fuel??
Because this would be a success for the Bush administration!
Yes, that’s right; you pay $4 a gal, because of the hate the Liberals created against the Bush administration!
Now if BHO II gets into office you will see these laws fly through in record time and by February you will be able to fill your heating oil tank for $3.50!
Of cause BHO II will celebrate this then in a big speech as one of his first successes and proof, that HE can do of cause everything better!
There will be plenty of people who will agree of cause!
That ethanol brought up food prices is not true either.
High fuel prices and the resulting increasing transport expenses are to blame for increasing food prices.
Starts with the farmer and ends with the trucker who brings the food to the market!
However ethanol is a total failure, since you need twice the energy to produce it then what you get out of it!
Last, the oil companies have lobbiest in DC and I have no reason to think that they would "hang out" with Botox Nancy any less then with everyone else there.
So there could be a 2nd reason why she does not want to let a law even get onto the floor.

They are bringing an ethanol plant on line just down the highway from me. Columbians own it. I wont buy any.
