Lightbulb BBQ Smoker

I've become some what of a bbq smoker addict. Lets get a thread going on what the best methods are. Post shots of your home pits and any mods you have performed. NO GRILLING TALK HERE. STRICTLY BBQ!

I use a stainless steel simple barrel smoker with charcoal and wood chips. Smoked a 10lb pork roast a few weekends ago and a 15lb turkey last week. I never thought of taking pics of my smoker but I will tonight and post them. I might just have to put a pork roast in since I am going to be taking pics anyhow...lol

I was looking at getting a new smoker but my barrel smoker never fails and I can get a 20lb turkey in there if needed. I can also hang 6 full slabs of baby-back ribs also. It just works good!! A little more work to re-load coals and chips but it never fails to produce good smoked grub. Got any good recipes for smoking????

No pics, I have a cheep smoker but I do all my Qing and the G thing in a webber kettle. I use the rotisserie ring to get the grill higher or to use 2 grills. Hope this counts in your BBQ world

I have a smoker, but I also have a gas grill for the big parties so I can toss hot dogs and burgers on there.

ok guys, its been about 4 hours in. i have two slabs of baby backs sittin there.
ive been able to keep the temperature between 230-275 degrees. this is my first time with the new smoker i just got. it was pretty cheap (160 bucks) and seems to be doing an excellent job. putting it together took about an hour. i dry rubbed the ribs right when i got home, then put together the smoker. it sat in the fridge for about an hour. i know that overnight would have been ideal. im using mesquite lump charcoal with hickory wood chunks for smoke. i only smoked it the first 2 hours, then stopped adding wood. ive been told that after 2 or 3 hours it cant take in any more smoke. im seriously going nuts i cant wait anymore, my mouth is watering like niagra falls. i will post pics of the ribs when they are done. here is the grill i bought. i got it from home depot. it is a silver smoker.
