Any Golfers in the crowd?
I'm just now getting into golf. Figured since I live in the golf course capital of the world, might as well give it a shot. There are more golf courses than liquor stores. I have a hand me down set of clubs that I'm upgrading slowly. Just bought a new bag and set of Nike Sumo Irons. Used them this past Saturday and they feel great.

I wonder if the street fair at COD has a golf club "store". NEver thought of that. I know Lumpy's sell's used clubs. I aint paying no $400.00 for a driver, that's for sure.

Well i hope you don't get into it as much as i did. I started with cheap clubs, But as i got better i totally blew up my cheap driver. I swung to hit a drive & opened my cheaper driver like a soda can with a m80. (I do have a pict of it can't seem to find them if i do i will post) Was kinda funny...So went out and bought a set off Callaway X20's. Had a hook up..But something to think about check the used bins at the golf store. I got a Taylor Made R7 driver for 225 used, it's like 450 new. I think it was swung like twice. Great shape. Then you can get a good club for cheap. Also if you are Right Handed you have a ton of options. Me on the other hand am left handed & there are way less options for lefties.

I play golf as well.
Ping ISI Tec driver 10* loft as well as a Titleist 975 J 8* loft with an EI70 shaft. Mizuno MP-32 irons - best fit for me. Clevland Wedges - 53* gunmetal and a 58* that was cut down when I was a kid and a Ping Anser 2 putter (I think) that is pretty much like a cheaper version of a Scotty Cameron lol. -rockstate |

The iron set I just bought came with 4-9, PW and AW. Do I need a sand wedge or can I just use the AW as my sand wedge?

No but really the only time you would get called for too many sticks in the bag is if you were on the PGA tour so throw in a pitching wedge and a gap wedge.
