lLst time I was there, some crazy lady was yelling at us while we were leaving saying they need to close it down to OHV people.

I don't know about Pismo, But I know that Lawson Landing, AKA. Dillons Beach closed down the dune section of their park several years ago. You can still camp, but you aren't allowed to take motorized vehicles on the dunes anymore. I guess too many people got hurt, sued Lawsons Landing so they just shut it down for Liability reason. They are trying to shut down the camping section too, which is a shame. I love that place.
