Tundra was waiting patiently at the bottom of the moutain. It did a nice job of pulling 6 snowmobiles though. My Tundra needs a set of tracks to get up to the cabin in winter. HEY....now that's and idea. I wonder if a set of Mat Tracks will fit on the Tundra???

Just for some perspective...On the first picture that shows the front of the cabin and the porch...The rail of the porch is right at 9' high measured from the ground to the first support log on the left. The cabin doesn't sit on a level ground. We built it level but the ground drops away from it pretty quickly from back to front. So the front of the cabin is sitting on pier blocks. It gives us a great view of a meadow and elk wallow below.

The cabin can sleep 10 to 12 easily. It has a loft with 2 beds and a master bedroom downstairs. We also have a few log couches that fold out to a double bed. No Electricity except generator if I remember to bring it. No running water yet. We are going to develop a spring this year. Sits on 4 acres of private ground and borders a Wilderness area. All the logs to build it were cut on site by hand. It takes me 3 hours from my house to get there, 1.5hrs hwy, 30minutes of improved gravel road and 1hr of not maintained gravel road.

Nice pics codiac. Those Mat tracks will fit a Tundra, that is if they are making them for the Tundra yet. They're pretty nice from what I've heard. I would like a set for my ATV.

wow i wish i lived in a place that would allow me to have a cabin. im seriously considering relocating. I want to live in a place that has all four seasons. Here we have summer, and summer with clouds. Thats pretty much it. im sick of it.

I enjoy the cabin alot. Getting ready to make the first full trip of the year up there. Hoping the snow has melted enough to get the Tundra in there for the first time. Probably won't make it though until the middle or late June, maybe even the first week of July!
