Some of you guys are lucky bastards. Gun laws here (HI) are so strict. No carrying of firearms what so ever, except hunting, to gun smith, or police station. Anything else your taking chances. If you so much as fart wrong with a gun in your possesion, they wanna lock your a$$ up.

Really wish we had a concealed carry or something similar for the law abiding citizens.

In my opinion you cant go wrong with the 45ACP, or springfield for that matter, either a 1911 or a XD.

Sig .45

But it stays in my house. California gun laws are screwed up. You can only have a gun in your car if it is locked up, seperate from the ammo and only if you are going to a shooting range or hunting. Any other time and you are screwed. Oh they have concealed weapons permits, but they are almost impossible to obtain.

In truck, Taurus Judge .45cal / 4.10, sweet gun, 4.10 shells & .45's cannot be mixed though. Otherwise one mean stopping machine.
Also Sig 9mm in centre console.
Under rear seat either 270Win (Remington 7400) 30.06 (Remington 7000) or Remington Wingmaster 3½" 840 pump 12 gauge.
Home.
Master Bedroom Mossberg pump short barrel 12 gauge, Sig 380 & Colt 9mm
Guest Bedroom S&W 20 gauge Auto
Office, S&W 38 special.
Kitchen/Diner pair of Ruger 22's 3 screw's
Main room. Springfield 1911 .45cal
Shop, In safe mini 14 & another 12 gauge pump Remington.
Gun Safe in office has more guns & rifles in but those cannot be reached as quick.
Oregon is a right to carry State, you can walk around with just about anything on your hip in full view, or on dashboard of truck/car (residents only).
C.H.L (Concealed Handgun Licence) is also easy to get for Lawful Residents.
Still a bit like the 'Wild West' out here near the coast but, nobody stupid enough to break into homes of people with NRA life member stickers on their trucks. Also, 70lb pitbull & 90lb Golden Retriever for that added security.

I just picked up a Colt 1911 80 Series .45acp a couple weeks ago. Great pistol, and very accurate.

Maybe I will post my entire list of goodies one of these days. I haven't even got thru the handguns yet I have a few shotguns and rifles also.

Sad thing is I might have to sell a few to pay the bills if I don't land a new job in the next month or so

That reminds me......I need another beer or four
