Back-up Sump Pump advice

I'm looking at the middle of the line Watch-Dog battery back up sump pump. Looking for some advice/ recommendations. Typical install, no issues, just need a piece of mind system that's low maintenance but reliable. Thanks.

I know several people with this type of sump pump backup plan. They stay plugged in and ahve a small pump above the normal pump. There is also a type of backup that uses city water to pump water out of your sump. I don't much about it except several people told me they have them and they work great. Probably something a plumber would need to hook up.

Have you ever used the drain and fill kit for a waterbed ?
As water passes through a T, the top of the T is where the water supply is flowing lets say left to right , as it passes the up and down part of the T , it creates a syphoning effect and draws water up from the bottom of the T and out with city water going left to right at the top of the T .

Hope this makes sense to you .

I've since gotten the Watchdog, the middle of the road version, about 250 bucks. Seems to work good for now. Hopefully, never need it.
