Howdy all. Im Colt from the Tx area. Just came around to check out these new tundras. those RCSB's can sure pull some times. Last time I was @ Houston Raceway Park there was a White RCSB running 13.8?'s w/ i believe only an intake. Hella fast! I remember one of my titan buddies telling me how the dude was pissed that his "f'ing ricer truck ONLY ran a 13.8". What mostly stock truck does that? I love these trucks for the power and stance. Hell if I had a choice (given the money..) I'd have a RCSB as my street machine.

Whats the fastest tundra so far? also.. are these trucks VVT on intake and exhaust?

Finally found where Dascrow is lurkin! Hi Dan!

If I remember the specs correctly, the new Tundras are VVT on the intake & exhaust and work independently of each other.

The fastest time I've personally seen was a 13.4 run in an 07 Tundra 5.7 RC with nothing but a CAI mod.

sweet. i havent done any research on any toyota platform until coming here. I know nissan has only introduced vvt to both int/exh on the v6 HR platforms recently. titans receiving it in 07 on int side only. same as on my VQ platform. what do you think the scsb tundra's would be capable of w/ int/exh/tune?

ty ty! Yeah I applied to win one from gander mountain here in CS. Had a mini lift on it and a BFG all terrain rim and tire combo. looked really damn good stance wise. just the front end for me would take some getting used to. not that i'll ever have one... but i wouldnt mind the drive train

Hard to say but possibly 13 flat with int/exh and a tune. I know I'll be one of the first kids on the block to have a tuner on my truck once they hit the market. A good one makes all the difference in the world.

trust me im learning that one already!! We have one place thats willing to do it and im 2hrs from them, just dont have the $800+ they want for a tune. But my times for my trucks build are decently fast CC, Auto, 4x4 for a whopping 15.3 from my last run, but ive got a few more um... mods

so what all do the tundras have aftermarket performance part wise? yall are capable of digging deep 13's w/ intake and exhaust.. i can only imagine what would happen after some more serious mods.

clear this up for me... camshaft failure on the tundras. rare? or frequent? I know all makes have their quirks, but why'd toyota design them to fail?
