I created a painful memory for some punk in a newer Taco recently. I was pulling up to the light and noticing all the mud on his truck, I was jealous since I can't find anywhere to play in dirt where I live now. As I pulled up I looked into the open window thinking I'd ask where he went, but instead I saw three younger guys acting all rowdy. Driver decided to rev at me... I let him rev while I listened for signs of supercharger, no whistle detected and need to reply. He kept doing that inch forward thing, I just waited for the light since this wasn't my first tango with a Taco.

Light goes green, I hear his passenger screaming "whooooooo"... the scream becomes faint as I blow by him right off the start. Kid needs to learn not to play with a V8, especially one with lowered gears. I waited for them at the next light, they ducked out and turned right in a quiet manner.

Gotta say guys after my bike (the red one) just about everything feels slow. It isnt the fastest bike on the road but its not too far away. Basic HP:Weight comes out to be about 1497HP/Ton. Anyone have the numbers for the Tundra 5.7?

Yes I love my K1300S makes my Vrod feel slow but not as comfortable and loud as Vrod..lol!

I love it too. Got irritated on the back roads a while back due to some drivers doing almost 20 below the limit and holding up six or seven cars in front of me. Got to the passing lane dropped it into second twisted hard, three quick gears. and a few seconds later I passed all of them then realized I was doing a buck forty, coasting. Yikes!

Raced my buddys 99 F150 Extended Cab Standard Bed 5.4 triton v8 with true dual straight pipes no cats, knn intake, and a superchips tuner sitting on a 6" lift and 35's. It was a pathetic race I didn't even run WOT and he was at least 4-5 car lengths behind. Such a slow turd.

Some guy in a Silverado got d!ckslapped today.

On my way home from work, there are these dangerously laid out freeway on ramps. There are two lanes, the right side has a signal light while the left side is meant for carpool and has no light, just a sign saying left lane doesn't stop. The trend is, people tend to get in that carpool side, hit WOT and blow by people who are leaving the light. I was watching it happen to cars ahead of me and decided if anybody tries it, I'll shut them down.

I pull to the red light, look in the mirror and see some homoerotic blue lights turn onto the on ramp and speed up. It was a Silverado, I'd guess about a 2010, the ugly ones that look like the designer used an etch-a-sketch. Light went green, I looked back and saw he was flooring it, I joined in. A chirp of the tires and my truck went into full squat, he had no choice but to slow down as I accelerated with the 4.7 screaming. We get into the right lane, I knew he'd try blowing by into the next lane, I beat him to it(and he did try, ended up behind me).

From there, we got into the fast lane, behind a BMW 5 series which was setting the pace at the typical 5MPH over CHP suggested speed limit. I knew the Silverado would get bored of this, I waited while pondering the fascination some have with these blue headlights. Sure enough, an opening comes and he takes it, weaves over two lanes and floors it. I saw a car ahead of him, he ended up getting right back behind me(dumbass). Soon he went for it again, and this time I got around the beemer and topped out my speedo, Chevyboy couldn't catch up. This trend went on for about 7 miles, him weaving around trying desperately to get ahead, me calmly staying ahead. Eventually he chilled out and my off ramp came up. I still don't understand the headlights, but they helped me keep track of how far behind me he was.

Just killed a BMW 335i. He was behind me and pulled up to my right. Guessing he wanted to over pass me so at 25 he & I both punch it, I left him 2 car lengths behind lol. Loving my tundra!

So Friday night on the way to a buddies house in my tundra and some tool in a Black Caliber srt4 with a fart can wants to race my truck, I still have the nannies turned on and the light turns green and I stay right next to him the entire pull, at the next light he says to me "pretty weak for a V8 & throws me a thumbs down", and I'm say to him "my truck weighs 6,000 lbs dumbass and is NOT marketed as a performance car.

He then gets all butthurt and starts following me. This is where it gets really good....he waits for me at a stop sign all the while my radar detector is going off, so I hit the gas and then let off immediately, he goes blasting 60+ in a 15 mph school zone and there sits the cop taking radar. I'm like this is to good to pass up. I go around the block and by the time I get back he's in handcuffs standing next to his car, I roll down the window and congratulate him on his arrest!

I had something similar happen to me way back in the day when I used to have a mercedes 190e 16v. it was a 4 banger but it was all souped up by benz. made in stuttgart to comete against the m3.
It was a really quick car, shifted gears at 7-8k rpm.
anyhow, i was driving down to LA on the I-5 and was in the middle of the mountain area racing with some guy in an acura 4 door that had all the goofy spoilers & stickers & fartcan.... we were both doing about 135-140ish and my beltronic radar went off with 2 lines Ka... knowing that there has to be a chp ahead i floor it & get up to 145, well he does the same & i slam on my brakes as the Ka gets up to like 4 lines, he flies by me and flashes his hazards and of course just around the corner there was a chp.. he was easily still at 130 while I had slowed down to like 80ish..
he got lit up & honked as i drove by him..
LOL.... sure he must have gotten a FAT ticket, maybe even arrested...
thank God for radar detectors... even though i still got two tickets with my $500 beltronic professional series, chp popped me with instant laser... so now I keep my happy ass under 80

Yes Jim, It would be wise to have a Radar Detector installed after your Turbo project.
