I'm doing a research for my human sexuality class; my research is on birth control. My hypothesis is that if there wasn't an HIV scare in the world, men would prefer for their partner to use protection rather than themselves?

All are welcome to answer, male or female. I don't need names, ages, or sexual preference. If you don't feel comfortable responding in public, pm's are welcome. Not looking to embarrass anybody.

Given the limited options for men; and I don't think there's a guy out there who'd prefer to wear a condom, I'd think it would be a landslide that guys would like their ladies to provide the birth control. And that doesn't just mean she's the one slipping it on your member.

Women aren't affected by the pleasure-robbing aspect of having to wear a de-sensitizing condom like a guy is... Although condoms have come a long way since the days when men were using "Goodyear tires" as condoms. Or as my generation used to say... "It's like trying to take a shower while wearing a raincoat."

I've also had women tell me they can enjoy sex more if they're in control of providing the birth control, because it's one less thing they have to worry about and they can relax more when getting down to business. Of course the flip side of this is when they go off the pill without telling you; like my ex-wife did... Note the use of EX before wife.

These statements are kind of a non sequitur however, because AIDS does unfortunately exist, and the reality is that condoms have now become a life-saving necessity.

That is the funniest thing I've ever heard. I would rather do it myself then put a domer on just for the reasons you stated. STD's are out there it's a well known fact, I myself have had a few scares where you leave the room right away to wash it off hoping it will help. then she catches you with it hanging over the side of the sink while your scrubing it and ask what are you doing then you say I think you better leave now . this probally is not helping you at all but this is a true story and seemed like the proper time to bring it out.

Nope, it wouldn't help at all. If you're in there long enough to "get wet", you're already in trouble in most cases. And one of the only things that will immediately kill the active HIV virus is bleach, and I for one ain't dipping my favorite one-eyed snake in that.

It's like guys who think, "If I pull out I won't get her pregnant." That doesn't work either, as seminal fluid has already begun to leak out even before you ejaculate. And as most of us know, it only takes one of those bad-boy sperm to ruin your whole day... year... life, if you're not planning for the unexpected.
