OS ANGELES (AP) — Dozens of protesters rallied outside Los Angeles police headquarters Saturday in support of Christopher Dorner, the former LAPD officer and suspected killer of four who died after a shootout and fire this week at a mountain cabin following one of the biggest manhunts in recent memory.
Protesters told the Los Angeles Times (Protesters show support for Christopher Dorner - latimes.com ) they didn't support Dorner's deadly methods, but objected to police corruption and brutality, and believed Dorner's claims of racism and unfair treatment by the department. Many said they were angered by the conduct of the manhunt that led to Dorner's death and injuries to innocent bystanders who were mistaken for him.
Michael Nam, 30, who held a sign with a flaming tombstone and the inscription "RIP Habeas Corpus," said it was "pretty obvious" police had no intention of bringing Dorner in alive.
"They were the judge, the jury and the executioner," Nam said. "As an American citizen, you have the right to a trial and due process by law."
During the hunt for Dorner, LAPD Chief Charlie Beck called for Dorner's surrender and said he didn't want to see the suspect or anyone else injured.

I agree with this dude. I wonder if they're gonna use similar tactics when they start confiscating guns - setting houses on fire and shooting anyone that runs out.

This is how copycat killers are born. He kill 4 people, no need to capture that MOFO alive. For what? so tax payers have to support him and pay thousands of dollars on lawyers, room and board, food and medical expenses when he's in jail? FOOK HIM!!!!!! I'm sorry for the victims families but for the SOB.....BURN IN HELL. In my opinion, if you take someones life, just for the hell of it, and there's is no doubt you did it, you should loose ALL rights, crazy or not. The Colorado movie theater, the guy that kill Chris Kyle and the guy that kill all the people in the NYC subway many years ago, All of them should be executed right away.
That money that is wasted on people like that could be put to better use. Education and medical research to save good kids and people come to mind right away. If people start to kill people because they think they were wronged, or "you did something to me I don't like" we would have a very small population in this world. Look at that asshole Pretorias, unless you are defending a female family member from an attack, There's no women in this world that is worst going to jail for. Just my opinion
BTW Johnny 5, last I heard, he committed suicide. Way to go for a guy that wanted to "clear" his name. That's why we have blood sucking lawyers no need to go killing people.

Is it bad that I thought he was going to get further in his quest? I'm not disappointed, but I really thought he was going to get further than he did. I am from California, born and raised. Maybe that is why I thought this... bbbzzzzttttt!!!!!

I agree. The tax payers could save millions on the money wasted on employing 75% of the LAPD, as well as the money they waste on unnecessary equip, disability claims, fuel, paid vaca, attorney fees when they need to be defended for illegal actions and procedures, you name it.
We could also save billions in the way of getting rid of DHS and TSA. We could also save millions in the way of stopping unnecessary "check points" for Americans, by border patrol,......nowhere near the border and actually have these people patrolling the border. We could also save trillions and many lives by not allowing unnecessary wars in the Middle East, so companies like Haliburton can secure contracts for supplying our troops with diseased water, charging $100 p/bag to wash their laundry, charge $45 for a 6 pk of coke, their employees lease $40k vehicles for $7k p/mo and vaca at world class hotels while our troops wait in line for grub for an hour,.....while fighting a war they never should have been sent to. All billed to the fed gov (the tax payer).
Let's not get started on wasted money. The prison system is another scam/money maker, but it's pretty low on the list of wasted tax payer money.
The point is, regardless of how guilty Dorner was, the local law enforcement is not the judge, jury and executioner and they don't have the right to open fire on every vehicle that fails to signal a right hand turn, just because they're on a "manhunt" and "a little stressed out".
BTW, the fed tax on our income is illegal. We might wanna start thinking about that.

Reckon if Dorner had really wanted people to know what he thought he might have just gave-up?

I reckon that, once the decision was made to hunt him down, there was no chance of him coming out of this alive and he knew there would be no chance of surrendering and being able to voice his side of the story.
Whether or not he was guilty of murdering anyone or what the true nature of those murders were, we will only ever hear one side of it, period.
Guilty or not, he did what anyone would do when in that situation:
He shot back.
I also find it funny how so many people feel they reserve the right to condone his execution. As if they personally investigated this case and have proof of his guilt. Just curious, what proof do we really have? Oh yeah, we heard it on the news. Do we really believe anything the LAPD has to say? Does anyone have enough "proof" to be screaming for someone's execution?
It's too phuckin easy. Honestly, I'm gonna stop voicing out against corruption and deceit and just join them. I'm wasting a lifetime of taking advantage of people. I could be so frikkin rich right now.

I got an idea. If someone is hold up in a house, shooting at cops, the cops should call timeout, walk inside, cuff him, then let him have his day in court....smfh
Panzies.
Heres how it works in real life.
If you killed people, you are considered armed and dangerous.
You killed people, you write a manifesto, you are considered armed, dangerous, homicidal, and suicidal.
When you are locked up in a house shooting at cops, your shits gonna get split. IMO, they played too nice. They shoulda brought in an A-10 and carpet bombed that whole fukking house.
Glad they took that murderer out....before he killed anyone else...he coulda went out and killed someones kids huh? Then what would those panzy ass protesters be bitching about? Cops didn't get him quick enough?
Stupid....stupid people. They don't have a damn clue.
People are nuts...

I also heard that DHS and TSA and gun control is for our own safety.
I heard that we've been fighting in in the Middle East since the gulf war, to eradicate terrorism and that private corporations don't scam us for trillions in fed tax dollars.
I also heard that there's no "revolving door" between CEOs and major shareholders of these corporations and positions of political leadership.
I also heard that terrorists flew high jacked airliners into the WTC towers, because they hate our ideologies and we let our women wear lipstick.
I also heard that we lost 300,000 troops to the Vietnam war, to prevent the spread of communism for n Vietnam to s Vietnam.
I heard that Chris Dorner was a cop killer and he needed too be hunted down, shot and burned to death.
That's all I needed to hear. It must be the truth. Case closed.

It probably did. They used incendiary tear gas. They may as well have thrown a Molotov cocktail, of course "incendiary tear gas" sounds better at the inquest. IMHO they wanted him dead right there in that cabin. Judicial Process is reserved for frivolous lawsuits, LAPD can handle the rest
