Those $27.99 for 4 refills is complete garbage. I was sick of that which is why I'm giving this Darco a try. For the cost of 4 refills I basically got 20 refills, two handles, and maybe 12 disposables...

I was buying Mach 3's on ebay when I first started out over 10 years ago. Turns out they were all fake. Before that, I was buying them at the flea market. They were all stolen and I actually saw the vendor on the news after he and his crew were busted.
That was why I always stuck with ship and sold by amazon. Hopefully these Darco will work out. I will know after 1 head shave if they will hold up for me or not.

I just got my Dorco order in today. I shaved my head with their 6 blade and it beats Gillette's top of the line ProGlide
I haven't shaved my head in a few days so there is some hair. Usually the blade would be dull by the end of the head shave. There hasn't been a hint of dullness with the Dorco. This is with the 6 blade version with no trimmer. I don't know how well they hold up over time though. 2 times was always the max with my type of usage with the Gillettes.
I was paying $3.21 for each Gillette blade. Dorco is $0.95 before discounts
I'll be keeping an eye out for Dorco website sales and will stock up

agree, double edge razor is the way to go... you can buy awesome blades for cheap and swap them as frequently as you like and still save a ton of cash.
I've been using a DE Merkur razor w/ Feather blades for a few years now.

I'm going to try that Dorco out. I spend about $10/week on Gillette Proglides to shave my head. I buy from Amazon.
Exactly why I haven't went to shaving my head, I just cut it with no guard, don't want to have to maintain it 2-3 times a week going forward. Already hate cutting my hair weekly.
