That twat feinstein was all over the sunday shows basically saying it is the NRA vs the rest of the people in the country. She blames Sandy Hook on the NRA.

How do you expect me to take that seriously? I never said Obama was great, he is just much better than Bush Jr. and no worse than any of our previous Presidents.

Do I believe limiting magazine capacity could help lower some of the casualties in massacres? Yes it could given the situation.

Will it stop the violence in America? No it won't.

There is no easy answer to the gun violence issue we undoubtedly have in this country.

Do I think "taking away our guns" is the answer? It would definitely lower murder rates /accidental deaths with a guns in this country, but at the same time other crimes are likely to rise.

Do I think a ban on "military style" rifles is needed? I don't see a reason an every day civilian would have a need to have one, but in the case of those that have to have one, it should be under tighter controls. Mandatory locked safe for these types of weapons is a start. You would think this would be common sense, which most of us already have, but obviously not all of us. Saying that it will not help anything by putting tighter controls on these weapons is subjective to specific situations and contains many more complex variables.
I disagree with you completely. Obummer is not that great of a president. He has had associations with known terrorist groups. I would be better off arguing with a rock than with you.
You can drink all the Obama koolaid you want. Just dont try to force me to drink it. You probably also are one of the people that believed obummer when he said the recession was over and it clearly was not and is still not over. Unemployment rates have gone up since he took office, prices of every thing have gone up, taxes and social security withholding have gone up. This country is in more debt than ever because of obummer and his supporters. I dont care what party they are affiliated with or who they are or the color of their skin, if they try to take away my rights and have known terrorist associations I dont want them in office or trying to mandate how I live my life if I am already a law abiding citizen (which I am). My arguments are justified.

That stupid dried up bag does not have a clue what she is talking about. It is sad that people like her are in government and have a say on what rules and laws they want to shove down the American publics throats.

Here is the primary difference between what good conservative folks want and what the leftist/Socialist/Communist want.
Conservative: We want to be LEFT ALONE. Left to live our lives, raise our kids, and work towards a nice retirement without the government chocking us out of our rights, liberties, and hard earned money (all of which you lefty SOB's WANT to take away)

Leftist/Socialist/Communist: Methodical, Continuous, boundless reach of government in size, influence, and power. Never stopping until every element of your lives (and ours if we let these SOB's have their way) is run by the government. Guns=GONE, Big Cars =GONE, Independent fiscal success=GONE.....the list is never ending. Guess what Euphoric, if you don't think this is the leftist/liberal agenda then you are GUZZLING Obamas Jesus juice (must have got MJ's recipe).

The good conservative Patriots of this country do not want to take you rights away. However, you liberals can think of nothing else than to take the rights & liberties of the good law abiding citizens of this country away. THESE ARE THE FACTS.

The government has NO BUSINESS telling me what I can and cannot have (legally). To simply make up laws to suit the leftist/liberal agenda is all you people know to do. Guns are not the one and only issue, but taking them away (reduced capacity mags, AR's, etc) certainly gets us closer to their agenda doesn't it?

Say what you will guys, we let this happen.

We all have seen it. If our (good conservative Patriots) numbers are so great that we are overwhelming nearly every gun shop/store in the country then WHY THE HELL aren't all of us voting these Commie bastards out?????

These discussions are great but do us no good. The only liberals that try to comment are hard core Obama Fans who are trying to hand is more Kool Aid. We need to take this information out to the public that is not sure and wants to learn. Don't let these Communist bastards keep their fear-mongering campaign going. Educating the public on the truth and answering their questions about guns, that's our smartest & best play now......get out there and educate guys, it's out last best chance!

Very odd. First I've ever heard of "training" taking place in a city like that. And of course the police offered no info.

I am not part of the "we" either. My job let us take off early to vote. Dont recall if I said it but I know some other members have, they are approaching the issue from the wrong angle and they think it will help. They are wrong.
I dont care if people dont want to own guns, that is their right. They should not push that off on to law abiding gun owners.
I get fed up with that quick.
My mother in law tries to push her crazy beliefs on me and does not like me because I wont let her run my life and do exactly what she wants. She has told my wife more than once to divorce me. My wife has not left me yet so she disagrees with her mom also.
Yes people are entitled to their beliefs and opinions, but there is a way to express them. Not every one is going to agree with them. Pretty much every one knows that, except my mother in law.
Some of the gun grabbers own guns themselves, are they going to make an exception to where they can still own guns when the American public cant? It would not surprise me. People like that with a double standard always rub me the wrong way. It is like some one lighting a cigarette and telling a young kid to never smoke. People like that rub me the wrong way, so I will rub them the wrong way too.
If some one is respectful but disagrees with me and does not have a double standard I can respect them back and have a meaningful discussion with them.

I think that a lot of these arguments between us would be moot, if everyone were to realize that this country's debt and our monetary and socioeconomic system has absolutely nothing to do with which president is in office. The president has absolutely no control over the Federal reserve, the people that own it/run it, the money they have, the corporations they own, the wars that are fought, the countries that are exploited for their resources, the private contracts and loans that are negotiated with foreign countries, and the list goes on forever. It's time that people realize that believing our president has anything to do with the price of gas or which countries we declare war on, is about as big a fairy tale as believing that a magazine ban will stiffle crime. After everything we've seen happen so far, as accessible as info is on the internet, as many documentaries that have been made, as much as has been exposed and explained to us, and we still live in this little romantic bubble that our president is the leader of the free world and decides what we pay for goods and services and how to use our military and what laws are passed? Really? You guys are breakin' my heart here.
And the notion that "polls" taken in other countries about how "likeable" our president is, are representative of how well we are doing or in any way, shape or form are indicative of how well we are governed,......is nothing short of ludicrous. First of all, who did they ask? Did they ask the civilians on the streets of Venezuela or Iraq or Bolivia? It's a joke. You might as well start a poll about what oil England thinks we should use in our Tundras, or who their favorite American actor is, for all the credibility a "likeability" poll has.
But, again, I digress. I could flood this thread with visual proof, testimonies, factual, scientific, objective, undeniable evidence that our gov, it's leaders, it's policies and even it's military are all dictated by the multi-national and multi billion/trillion$ corporations and no one would give it a second thought.

There is no excuse not to vote. Polls are open early/late. I understand you guys (ones who replied) probably got out and voted, as did I. My message is simply to motivate those who didn't. We have lots of people out there talking the talk and not walking the walk....

JVC, you might try and unplug a little from Zeitgiest (spelling??). I have watched them all as well. However, it is not an excuse to throw your hands up and say fu*k it. Voting matters, it's how we can help influence certain things, like keeping these liberal gun grabbers out of our lives. Will we ever influence major economic or international policy...no. That is where I feel those movies have value & merit...

Exactly what I thought. It's a desensitization tactic. As obvious as that is, people will ignore it and go right back to LOL-ing eachother in their iPhones.
Nothing to see here, just another military operation with attack helicopters and live fire,........over a major city.

Do you honestly believe that the WTC demo was a "terrorist" attack and if a "democrat" had been president, that wouldn't have happened and we wouldn't have gone to war in Iraq and thrown Saddam out of power? Do you think that if Romney had been elected, we wouldn't be in bed with China, the Newtown shooting wouldn't have happened and they wouldn't be looking to disarm us, so China can come here and exploit our resources as debt payment?
Do you really think that the 2 candidates we are given to choose from every 4 years, are not put there to give us the illusion of choice and whichever one gets elected, they won't simply follow the regularly scheduled agenda? Do you really think that money doesn't rule the world?
Maybe it's you that needs to unplug. You don't need to watch the zeitgeist movies to realize our political system is a dog and pony show and we're all a bunch of gullible toolbags. Geez man, our politicians aren't even remotely good at bullshitting and people still fall for it. It Amazes me.
In real life, Ron Paul had as big a following as either of those other clowns and a lot more support from our military members. Guess who didn't even come close to being president........hmmmm, the guy that wanted to expose our corrupt and unsustainable monetary/banking system and stop providing military support for the private corporations that were exploiting middle eastern countries for their resources. Nope, it came down to one of 2 bobbles heads with big smiles and good looks, that would go with the program.

The government is so corrupt any more the system of checks and balances is virtually nonexistent. Yes the president is supposed to be the leader of the so called free world (its not so free) but yet he is just another puppet just like most of the other politicians.
