It is not a question of whether he will remember, though I am sure that if we did remember, circumcision would have ended before it started!

You may shut this topic down as if you wish. My wife posted the same on her babycenter forum and those women are about to rip each other's heads off. I don't want that here. I was looking for the guys point of view which is about the same as the girls, 50/50. Talking to the doc tomorrow, hopefully he has the definitive truth we need to make our minds up.

I thought this thread was staying admirably calm and mature. Funny how the chicks get more up in arms than we do about OUR junk!

Oh, and... Congrats! My girls are 4 and 2, and they are quite simply the best things to ever come into my life. I hope you love fatherhood every bit as much as I do.

Congrats on your little guy!!!

My wife and I just had a little boy last month and are happy with the decision we made. He came with "certain" skin from the factory and wasn't altered Do what you think will benefit your son and his life best because it can't ever be changed.

I found, in the subsection titled, "Circumcision in the 21st Century" the following:

Specifically, major medical societies in the USA,[57] Britain,[58] Canada,[59] Australia and New Zealand[3][dead link] do not recommend routine non-therapeutic infant circumcision.

It is not that they are neutral on this issue, but they do not recommend routine non-therapeutic infant circumcision. Very interesting.

but anatomically speaking, the foreskin rolls down and and provides extra girth for maximum female stimulation.... just as nature intended.

As for the OP, this decision should be decided within your family unit and taken seriously, as maybe one day your son may ask why or why not his penis is different....

best of luck in your decision...
I know of one. When he hit puberty erections became a problem, the skin wouldn't stretch, so he got snipped.

That would be a medical problem and no one, I believe, has problem with that. We are talking about wholesale circumcisions that are not necessitated by medical conditions.
