I'm in Hell

Youngest daughter and her BF are gonna get engaged within the next four months and then get married a year after that. I have already been told I am paying for a big wedding.

As a matter of fact, my wife is taking off work tomorrow to spend with her and I imagine they are going to unofficially start looking for the cateres , dress, flowers etc.

Then the boy dropped a bombshell. He is moving out in two weeks. Not only is he moving out, he is renting a room from the Cougar he has been hitting for the last few months. My wife flipped shit over this and has been walking around in circles all night mumbling under her breath.

All of this shit is going to directly impact me in a negative way.

Nothing good is going to come out of any of this.

I am going to offer the future SIL 15K to elope in Vegas and tell him if he tells my daughter I am behind it, I will gut him like a fish.

FML.

The voices in my head don't like you.

If you are a fan of fat girls, Dave Matthews CD's are better than a ham on a fishing pole.

Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats.

Boy I'm glad I had four kids...I can't wait to call you for advice when they get older! Or, better yet, call you to remove a problem from my life! LOL

I like the Vegas bribe idea...that would probably work! I'd start lower though...maybe $10K would be enough...that gives you $5K to bribe the cougar to find a new cradle to rob!

Oh man! Sorry to hear this. Im pretty sure My future Father in law has been hinting at the same thing. SO I was laughing real hard at the end of the story.

I have a boat if he tells your daughter your plan...we can toss him in some body of water.JK

In all seriousness; goodluck

Yikes...I feel for you. I have 2 daughters 15 and 7. I'm dreading the day....

When a friend of mines daughter was getting married, I was trying to learn from the experience and asked him what the wedding budget was. He said..."I'll put it to you this way....when I told her the amount, SHE CRIED"

I would hope he'd asked.

I would also hope he'd consider the money spent on a big ass worthless wedding and instead use a large portion of that for a down payment on a home.

I am still single. I hate large weddings when that money could be better spent on things the couple actually needs.

I cringe at the thought of a wedding that large and it has nothing to do with the commitment.

What ever happened too the good ol'days when two people just went to the courthouse and got hitched? It was good enough for my mom & dad. I had to go through the whole "big wedding"thing 15 years ago when i got married. I tried to talk sense into her and her mom.....but it was like talking to the wall.

I didn't mean an animal cougar. The way things are going though, bestiality will probably be socially acceptable in 10-15 years.

That's how we did it. Father-in-law was very grateful. We got a nice wedding gift in the form of a nice sized check.
