Looking to buy a tundra in 2015

I currently drive a 2003 subaru wrx with 130k miles. Once it hits 200k miles, I will buy a tundra. Until then, I'm here to learn as much as I possibly can about them until my purchase. Thanks in advance for your help.

Which is a good thing because I like owning the current styling for the Tundra. I fear when 2014 rolls around I will feel like my truck is 10 years older compared to a 3rd gen Tundra. Not to mention the madness of forums, having to deal with 3 generations of Tundras.

New design in 2012/2014/2015? Hm, that will make my purchase a lot more interesting then. I don't like buying new but used 1-2 years. I guess I'll learn about the 2nd gen and we'll all see how the 3rd gen comes out. Thanks for the insight.

I wonder how the rest of the truck forums deal with literally 12 generations of pickup trucks, eh?

Haha. Makes me appreciate having such a large forum of people who own 2nd gen tundras. It would take so much longer to find mods if I had an F150 for my specific model.

kind of a silly post - that is 4 yrs down the road and peoples needs change. Prolly won't even want a Tundra by then.
Also what is there to discuss because the damn truck will be different - so nothing to learn yet.

Yes, people need change. I however have owned my Subaru since 2004/20k miles. I need a truck that will also give me 200k miles with minimal issues. The only truck that I've had that lasted that long was a 81 Toyota pickup with a 22R.....abused and it wouldn't die. I'm here to figure out if toyotas are still as good and reliable as I remember.

Even if they come out with a new model by then, it still doesn't prevent me from buying a 2nd gen tundra. It would probably help by lowering the cost of a second gen.

Keep the WRX and have fun and then take the Tundra and have moorer fun I am a fan of the WRX doing a search with my UN should land you the reasons why. I also love my Tundra and it came in handy pulling the car around for the really fun times.

Keep in mind about "pre-orders" just like buying a new Suby each dealer is only allocated so many new Tundras, keep ahead of the game.

Welcome to TT from the Heart of Dixie.
