And perhaps chime in and "explain" a Toyota dealers perspective.

Put on your heavy duty work boots. Poor dealer service experiences outweigh good ones here on T.T. by a LOT. Pure truck sales stories around this here little truck internet board tend to be good.

Welcome to the nut house.

I'm not completely useless. I can always be used as a bad example.

I received a letter that said 3% over cost. I went to the dealer and asked how much cost was. The sales person said that wasn't how It worked. I was supposed to make an offer. I asked if I make an offer then would they tell me cost. The sales person said only if my offer was less. So I offered $10k on a $40k vehicle. The sales person said they knew that offer would be rejected.
Duh.
So I said that was my offer and now I would like to know the cost.
The sales person said "Perhaps you can't afford this car"
That's when I lost it on this idiot.
I got a call from the sales manager the following day, apologizing, but I told him I had already bought a more expensive car down the street.

I was in contact with 9 different dealerships over a span of 3 days. All the dickering was done by phone, email, text. When we finally settled on a deal and arrived at the dealership, it was just the formality of a test drive, then on to the paperwork. I love the Internet.
