I installed this button and connected it to factory installed electrical connector on a 2014 tundra SR5 with a 4.6L engine, but is not doing anything (light does not lit). I wonder if it has to be turn on by the dealer?
It is my understanding that if your truck doesn't have the tow package, then the tow/haul switch will not work.
I don't believe it is as simple as adding the button to make it work..
But I could be wrong....
Not sure if this true for the 2014 trucks but for my 2010 tundra the ECU/ECM is different between a regular 4.6L engine and a 4.6L engine with a tow package and thus for the button to work properly you would need to change ECU/ECM.
might as well just swap the whole drivetrain over. i've got a 5.7 that has the tow package and the tow/haul button. let me know if you're interested
