Hello, and questions already

Hi, folks,

I am Jim (Jim-c-logger), living in Ohio. I just bought a 2003 Toyota Tundra SR5 Access Cab... Although I am pretty good about keeping my trucks in good repair and looking good, I use a truck as a 5,000 pound tool hauling firewood, stone, and yes, the occasional load of, well, "cow dirt".

I already have a couple of questions. If no one answers them on this forum, I will post them "where they belong"... One, the unit came with the towing package including Bilstien (sp?) shocks. Are those heavy duty enough for me to haul a 2500 pound pallette of wall rock? Anyone have any luck with any suspension aids on this truck? I do not want to lift it, just stiffen it for that occasional 2500 to 3000 pound load.

Second, just wondering what kind of gas mileage I can expect out of this guy in highway mode. It has the 4.7 V8, 4WD, and the 4 speed auto... I saw someone in another forum say 18 to 20... I hope she was right, but I am not convinced. ??

Thanks, folks,

Jim
