Another Newbie from AZ - TundraTalk.net

Greetings All,

After three years of dragging my boat around the Southwest, I traded in my tired ol 2006 Tacoma Doublecab Prerunner for an 08 Tundra. Towing with the Tundra is a night/day difference from the Taco and I can actually see what's behind me with them big-@ss tow mirrors.

I've been browsing the Tundra-Talk site for a few hours this evening and decided that there too much good info on here not to join up.

Good lookin' rig ya got there. Do you boat on the St. Johns? I got to spend some time on the St. John's a few years ago for work..... had a helluva good time and got paid.

BTW, the night we brought the Tundra home, my 12 yr old daughter named the truck "Babe" after Paul's big blue ox..... I just told her that name was taken so she is starting a new list.

Hey Lower let her name your truck Babe I'll look something else up. That won't bother me a bit. She's came up with an original so let her have it. Soon as I see it on the forum I'll take mine off or unless I come up with something else.

Forgot yes I go out on the St. Johns and out past the jettys in the ocean to get the wife sick and come back in. Also go into Nassau Sound. Will never visit alligator creek again. Ran aground on an oyster reef and was there for 12 hours till the tide came back in.

Oh, No....... not gonna strip your Tundra of it's name.

We don't even have 1K miles on her so she is still developing a personality. Given time, the truck will most likely name itself (right now it's "GasHog")

In any case, it's been unanimously accepted as part of the family.

If your daughter is anything like my granddaughter who gets anything she wants, let her have the name. I'm alright with it. I do have a new one anyway. So please take it. I do like Gashog. It's appropiate.
