Greetings & air filter question

Just wanted to say hello- have been lurking around for a while and really like the site! Purchased my first tundra about a month ago (07 5.7 CM TRD 2WD) and love it! Just what I expected from Toyota- had a tacoma and still have an 80s series landcruiser (which is why the tundra is 2WD).
I live in dusty W TX and was wondering if I should have any concerns about using a K&N drop in...as far as crap getting into the engine...lots of dust and lots of miles on ranch roads.
Thanks

Sorry but we're all a bunch of picture GEEKS here. I think Jerry had a first gen Tundra with tie die seat covers! The KnN drop in would probably be a good idea for dusty conditions, just keep an eye on it and don't over oil it after you clean it. Welcome to the site btw.

Welcome to the best site around and enjoy your crewmax ride... Agree post some pics... K&N will do alright where you're at...It seals with your hood to make it a close system. Like DEZ stated just check it when you do an oil change or once per week. Follow instructions on what you have to do with your filter. That's why I got an AFE...Lifetime filter plus just clean it with mild detergent and air dry...

Sorry Dez and everyone I was in two different discussions at the same time and I cross the two. What I meant was check it when you do an oil change...That once a week was another conversation I was having here at my house. So I guess I typed it....
