From what I have gathered from this forum....The headers on the truck are already fantastic, so you wont get a huge gain by changing them. I seem to hear mixed thoughts about the CAI. Some people claim they have seen an increase well others say they really haven't. All seem to really like the sound of an after market CAI. The biggest increase in HP and the add on that everyone seems to be the most please with there upgrade is the exhaust. I am looking at putting some on when I figure out which one to go with. I know this isn't a lot of information, but I thought I would at least get the conversation started. People will chime in with there own experiences soon.

Smile headers ? Exhaust?

I have been following a lot about the MAGNA FLOW exhaust along with the J&L headers (hope thats right) combo - seems there is some increassed power - but the trade off is a drone in the cab. Thoughts?
THANKS!

I have a Magnaflow exhaust. The drone is noticeable between 1600 to 1800 RPM if the engine is under a load. At highway cruising speeds 70 to 85 MPH with no load you hardly notice it. I will have my stereo volumne set at 10 and I can hear the music just fine.

Because it is fully enclosed like the afe but I liked the look of the Volant. There is a thread that will tell you how to convert your stock air box to perform more like a CAI. I also went with the Volant because of the dry filter and 100,000 miles before it will need to be changed, but I would not go that long.

Looking for increased power? TRD has just released a supercharger for the 5.7L. The biggest power increase mod to date. You're wallet is the limit. Google it: Tundra 5.7L supercharger, 07, 08 Tundra supercharger...

Unichip also has a product already available for 5.7L Tundras.

Welcome to the best forum around...Enjoy your wonderful Crewmax ride.... Changing the headers won't give that much more power.... I use an AFE along with Borlas Pro XS complete duels... Afe just needs cleaning no oil or replacement.... Don't forget to post pics....
