Thanks.
I would go with a DC for sure. I need the room in the box over the CM. My Polaris wheeler just fits in my '06 DC, but I have to leave the tail gate down. I just can not go smaller. The cab on my '06 has enough room for my needs. My 4.7 does what I need, but would consider the 5.7 if the mileage is not too big of a hit. Color could be almost anything. I'll keep reading and see what I end up with. |

The 5.7 would be a good deal gets better miles per gallon than the 4.7. Go SR5 or higher.

With gas at $3.59/ gal and rising, I am not about to buy another truck unless I can keep the same or gain mileage. Right now I am getting about 17 average. This is on a bone stock Tundra with the 4.7L. The 4.7 has enough power for my needs most of the time, the rest I just take a little longer to get there. Since I have more time than money this works for me.
More than anything I am looking for real honest numbers on fuel mileage. My father-in-law offered to buy my '06 if I want to sell it. He does not care for the newer body style and does not want the 5.7 for some reason. Like I said above... just starting to look at options. Will not make a purchase until the '09's are out. |
