Hello All, I discovered this forum while looking for a cheaper way to get SAT radio. Toyota charges WAY too much.

I do have a Best Buy and a Circuit City. I went to Best Buy on Sunday and they can do the "internal" install but they don't sell the internal tuner. I would have to buy it separate and bring it with me. I would need an internal tuner as well as a digital adapter. I just don't know which brand of digital adapter is compatible with Toyota's radio head unit. Research continues...

Welcome and enjoy your ride. XM was very cheap at the dealership for both my 07 Tundra and 07 Prius. It was N/C no charge

My dealership quoted me $455.25 intalled for Sat Radio... I told them they can keep it, I'll get it some other way.

Now, on to the Sparks Toyota link. Is that everything I need for Best Buy to install the system? I notice the disclaimer about the fit kit. I'm assuming here, but it would seem logical that Best Buy has that covered.

Let me give you a tip PD (actually a tip for all you guys who don't know). When you go to an install shop try srtiking up a friendship with the manager or installer and throw some cash their way as a tip. That my friends will go a long way with future installations! I have an installer guy at Circuit City that opperates on my tips only and on average its usually less than half of what I should be paying!!!!!!

I would call your installer about the fit kit , most places that do installs will have a fit kit .

welcome to the forum. my dealer also wanted too much for SAT. I've been using my IPOD instead.

I've been using my MP3 player too. It's pretty awesome. I was a little worried about battery life. Having to bring it in every night to charge and such. No problems yet, it typically goes a week without a charge. Love this truck. I was reading in another section of the forum about the Auto Dimming mirror and how easy the install is. I think I'll do that next. (the mods are already starting; the fever has set in)
