New One

Hello,
I've been lurking a while as I try and pick my next truck. I have test driven the 08 DC 5.7L and love it. Just trying to convince myself it's time to buy a new truck. You guys are great and I enjoy reading all of the comments, good and bad.
Thanks.

Only gotta fit my 10 and 13 yo in the back occasionally. Plus, I need the longer bed or I may as well keep my Durango. I like to ice fish and need to carry my portable shack around.

D-cab is the way to go. The C-max is just a mini-van with a puny box in the back.

Good choice NTT, the double cab comes in a 6.5' bed and an 8' as you probably already know. Great for work and play!

That may be just what I do. The deal seems to get better with every week that I wait.

Better research that, the CM with the 6.5 bed is not set in stone yet from what I hear.

I keep hearing CM with the 6.5 bed. Where is this info coming from? I remember CREWMAX saying his dad works for a dealer, but is it on the web? Maybe I will google it....Someone sharp with computers, not me, could put the longer bed on the CM with a photo trick....

Welcome to the forum! I'm a newbie too and everyone here is great.

Re: Buying your new Tundra and payments...again. It's not my business to say this but....go with your gut feeling. If you don't think you can swing the payments for the long haul or don't like to go that route, keep your existing truck (if it's running good) and save some coin till you can make a better dent on getting the new one. Give yourself some time.Trust me,you will enjoy the new Tundra more knowing you got a shorter payment plan. The Tundra isn't going away soon and the new ones will improve over time..like fine wine! LOL!

Welcome to a wonderful site. Very colorful too I might add. When you decide feel free to let us know along with pics please. It doesn't matter to me whether you get a CM or DC. Get what pleases you and satisfies your needs and wants. Appreciate you even thinking about a Tundra. Something to look at.

Nice picture Mickey. Is that a skid plate? The one I test drove had the skid plate under the motor. I don't know why I would need one, but it looks good.

Didn't come with one or the dealer kept it after the first oil change.
