Fuel Saver Module

Long time listener, first time writer....

Does anybody know anything about these modules that you can buy on e-bay
for $10 and they are supposed to save fuel and increase Horsepower?
I 've only had my Tundra a week, will post pictures when I add a couple more accessories. Thx!!!

Welcome to the site kinda. If such a unit existed and actually did what they say it does I'm sure it would be selling for a lot more that 10 bux bro. Don't buy it!

That's what I thought too, but I just bought my Tundra and the Mileage is the only thing I don't like about it, any other suggestions for better mileage ?

try an intake system, or maybe a tornado from kragen/autozone .. also, when we get a programmer, that should help.

Fog Lights

Thanks for the Feedback on the fuel module. My Tundra grade didn't come with fog lights but i understand that the wiring harness is there, does anybody know if that is true and if so for those of you with fog lights which switch on the dash controls the fog lights? Thx !!!

Dave yes its true, Toyota was cool enough to leave the wire harness behind the fog light blanks in the bumper, the relay inside the fuse box under the hood, and the wire harness at the switch blank thats located by your right knee as you sit in the truck. So all you need to buy are the lights and the switch.

I haven't even gone through my first tank yet, but when I was looking at new trucks , the Tundra definately rated as the worst of the bunch. "13 and 17" what do you think I can really get?

Are you a reserved driver, or like me, can't get my foot to agree with my pocket. On the interstate I have got @ 18.7. Around town it's more like 14.3 to 14.7. With the price of gas steadily going up I may have to retrain my foot to match my $$$$$

I found a set that would fit, PIAA Series 540. I'm not that good at wiring stuff and electronics but it sounds like all i have to do is take out the blanks, mount the lights and connect the wires on both ends and that's it. Should be a pretty easy job even for a rookie like me?

there is a product that can probably help you out. its called Z-max it actually takes a couple thousand miles to actually take effect as it bonds with the oil, and its absorbed by the aluminum or metalin the engine. I've personally tried it on my Celica and did see improvements on the mpg it went from 27, to 30 mpg with out an oil change this was a couple of months ago. They also have a guarantee on the improvement of mpg, horsepower, and repair to your damaged engine if they find their product was the cause of engine failure. This is why I'm trying it on my 4 cyl. before the Tundra cuz 4cyl. engine is cheaper than an 8cyl. The product cost around 20 to 30 bux, but it depends where you get it, as well as they come in 3 different packages one for fuel, other for oil, and a box with both. Hopefully this could help you all out a lil. By the way I get about 16.5 city highway.

here is the link to the web site. I saw it on a truck show by the way.
zMAX micro-lubricant, fuel additive, oil additive and transmission additive
