Welcome to our humble yet awesome site brother! Are you currently driving a Tundra?
Welcome to the site... So what does your cohorts have to say about the paint on the new Tundras? When you sell a Toyota, are you recommending anything to them for the paint?
Any idea what kind of deals Toyota will have next month on the Tundra's here in the midwest? Im about 30 minutes east of St.Louis.
No clue. We don't get the updates until the day they happen..... With that being said, I'd prob anticipate them being any worse than they are now, most likely remaining about the same until the model year end....
The lease available right now is great. Negotiate the difference figure of the vehicle first though. Most dealers will want to push payment on you with a lease so they can make more money. Also, the 0% financing is pretty good too. Most likely, it will save you more money than using the rebate.

I honestly haven't heard any issues on paint, but then again, that's why i looked for a forum like this one.... to learn more about the product I am working with so that I can better serve my customers. I'll look into it tommorrow though when our service department is open.
That would be great! I can't wait to hear what you find out
First Toy don't get your hopes up to high on this. We know the issues Toyota has with the paint. The normal will come out till a fix or recall comes out.

Toy, I just spoke with my service manager, as I was able to catch him before he left. We are the largest Toyota Truck dealer in the area, so we would have a large client base enhancing the chance that we would have encountered buyers with this issue. He said that he hasn't heard of any problems whatsoever. That being said, he said that the paint should be covered under the manufacturers 36 month warranty, so if you're having an issue, avoid doing any quick fixes yourself, and get it into your dealership ASAP.
Everyone here is very kind and helpful. I do have a question for you that I'm having a heck of a time in getting an answer from Toyota U.S.A. and Toyota Canada. It's about my warranty. I bought my 2007 Tundra in Toronto Canada from a dealer that had originally bought the truck from the U.S. It was shipped here. After I bought my truck I called Toyota Canada to register my name as the new owner. When they punched in the VIN # they said they haven't a listing because the truck is American. I called Toyota U.S. and gave them my VIN # and the truck was listed on their computer. I asked about my warranty coverage and asked to register my name and they said they couldn't do that because the truck is now in Canada and not in the U.S. and said to call Toyota Canada for details. Hello?
What I am asking is, what do I do to register and with whom? I feel like the tennis ball in a court.Who will help me if there is a warranty issue or a recall on my Tundra during the remaining time left on the warranty and the power train warranty should something happen? Toyota U.S. says, "Sorry man, can't help Canadians". And Toyota Canada says , "We don't have a VIN listing of your Tundra"(?) I was also told by a Canadian Toyota sales rep that Toyota Canada and Toyota U.S.A. are two different companies. I didn't know that...silly me. Can you give me any suggestions? All I want to do is register my name as the new owner and that's all! Thank you.
I should mention that till I get this registration thing worked out, I'm going to have to ask the members of the forum to keep me posted on any recalls Toyota puts out as I won't have any way of knowing unless I hear it on the news or read it in the paper.

Yeah.... There was a bit of sarcasm in that statement, I guess I didn't express that enough. I honestly didn't expect much, but it would be nice if someone representing Toyota would at least acknowledge it.
