I got me a TUNDRA!!
I'm freakin' happy
. I just got rid of my silver 2001 4D Tacoma Limited 4WD and got me a black 2007 5.7L TUNDRA Double Cab Long Bed w/ 4X4 with 40 miles. I personally loved my Tacoma, but this is so much better. I didn't need a long bed but it came with a $5,000 rebate instead of $3,000 for the regular bed. So i got it. This things freakin' huge and the mpg is not that much different. Will post picture after truck gets clean after a day at the Ranch. |

YEEEEEEEHAWW! Nice one dude! So far that will be only one of two long bed's I've heard of on this site. Congradulations and welcome to the site partner! Would that be the "Mustang Ranch" you're refering to?

Hey Mr. Negative, I'de buy the long bed before the CM in a heart beat. The CM is just not practical.
No offence to all you CM OWNERS. I'm also wondering if all that impractical crap listed below your signature is just a wish list or is it piled up in your garage, cuz I know you ain't got a truck yet bro.

Rebate or no rebate… it’s cool! If you like it, that is all that counts…. Except can you park it? We have a lot of truck owners in Montana with long boxes, and they cannot park them for S….! Taking up 2 or even 3 parking spaces! So can you park it?

like me, i just assume when i pull into a parking place i'm gonna have to back up atleast once to keep from crowding the others parked.

ahhh.... yeah.... found one of you did I
That is one thing that I cannot stand. Or.... you do not pull into the parking space far enough and the back of the truck is still in the middle of the road. That gets me too! |

That is very true. It took my a couple of weeks to get use to it but I can park it without a problem now. My only question I have yet to discover is city parking. I often drive to LA, SF, and San Diego and wasn't sure about those parking spaces on the side of the road with a meter in which you need to parallel park. Do I take two spots and pay on one meter?or both?

congrats on the truck. That is a monster! Sometimes takes me 2 or 3 times to get into the tight spots in Phx. Can't imagine parking a long bed. On the bright side, once you get good -- you can park a semi :-) Seriously, sometimes I wish my bed was a bit longer. Have fun!

Ahh.... I wish you could teach some of these non-Tundra owners how to park
That is funny about both meters though... I think most people are too cheap to pay for more than one meter (even though they should). |
