Some Feedback
Bought The Truck Back In Feb. So Far So Good. I Traded In A 2006 Crew Cab For The Crew Max. The Only Concern So Far Is The Interior Quality. Does Anyone In The Forum Lease Or Did You Guys Buy? I Had A Couple Questions In Regards To Modifications To The Truck.

Welcome and congrats on the crewmax. 07 Crewmax Limited Nautical Blue. Bought mine. Many mods done. I do have a couple of scratches on the door handle on the interior. So far everything going well with it. I bought it in July 07. I have 23,500 miles on it. Here's some of my mods.

I went to start mine Sunday morning after it sat for only one day and every warning light possible came on. Fortunately my dealer's service department is open on Sundays. I contacted them and he said if it looked ok under the hood and it seemed to drive ok to bring it in and they would get me a loaner (great service). After checking under the hood and on the driveway for leaks I proceeded to the dealer. That's when things got crazy. Transmission would not go past 4th gear, more lights came on and it started to shutter. I made it to the dealer (they are close by) and got my loaner. Monday they called and told me a squirrel ate out the installation under the intake (there is a shoe box size compartment under there) and began to chew the wires. In addition they began to chew the HEADGASKET. Insurance adjuster said he had seen a lot of rodent damage but never a head gasket. Bad news is that the wiring harness and head gaskets are few and far between since most go to the factory for vehicle production. Bottom line 2-4 weeks to get the parts and $3800.00 repair bill. The adjuster is going to forward me the pictures. Moral of the story is watch out for the pesky squirrels. I plan on taking out the next one I see in my yard. By the way it has been a great truck. No problems. I've had it for two months, 3700 miles and have enjoyed every minute of it.
