Bought a new Tundra today, great looking truck, traded in my 2007 F 250 with 113K miles, had too many problems with the 6.0 liter diesel engine. Ford did what they could for me, unfortunately, it just got to be too many issues with keeping it on the road. Hoping the Tundra will be as reliable as other Toyota's that I have owned in the past.

My 2008 has been the least reliable Toyota I have owned by far. Though the 2013's may be different in the long run. Some areas to watch for are the front diffs, water pumps, steering rack (2010 and newer) and rear bearings. The motors and trannys are typically pretty solid.
Consider an extended warranty as you approach the 3yr 36K mile mark. There have been posting here on some very good deals from some dealers for the factory warranties.
Overall it's a good truck though, I just hope they correct some of the issues with the new 2014's If they do I'd buy a used one in 2016 or so.

In 07 I did the same, traded my 03 F250, and have never looked back, even though i had a water pump and computer issue, i have no regrets, so much though, that I can't talk myself to get a new truck, so maybe I'll do it when the 14 model comes out, congratulations and welcome my friend.

I had my 06 F350 stolen recovered fix'd then I sold it and got my 2012 SR5 TRD 4x4 . Love the Tundra but miss my Duty , my son in-law bought it from me and see the truck a lot.
The gas tank is only 25 gal and takes time to get used to that coming from a 38 gal but its a nice truck you will like it.

Very nice site I have been reading post to try to understand the tundra's alittle better, Currently driving a 11 f-250 and might be forced to get rid of it(lemon), My concerns with the tundra are--can it support a plow, seems to be alot of concern with leveling and height, leveling kits vrs spring changes seem very different from person to person-I would be buying a new 13 maybe rockwarrior -want it as beafy as i can get. Not opposed to adding better tires and such on a lesser model but need to know where to start so that im not throwing money out the door, also dont want to void any warranty issues. Looking for any comments or expertise on this. Thanks Gregg

Tundra's can plow very good.... TRD Rock Warrior is no more beefy than any other Tundra and has same suspension as a TRD Offroad (Only the rims and tires are different). The Rockwarrior is a less optioned truck, but can be had with the Platinum or Limited package I think for 2013. I did a 3/1 and mine still has a very slight rake to it. Rear is probably .5 to 1" higher than the front.
