I need help! I am looking for a cold air intake for a 2008 V6 Tundra. Before you laugh, I drive quite a bit during the week and I get good mileage (17.5 to 18.5) but I would like to see if I could get more plus get a little more HP. Anybody know of a good one?
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! Sorry.... It's doubtful you will get better mileage and performance with any CAI. There are lots of CAI's for this new truck and there's tons and tons of info in this forum. Use the search option and read up brother!
Its a well known fact that your motor has to work twice as hard to move the truck there for gets less mpg, I made a trip to Louisiana and got 17 mpg, Mic will chime in he has gotten about 20 mpg in his. I would just buy any CAI and exhaust they make for your truck and use cruise as much as possible.
When I was at the dealer today I did quit a bit of walking around looking at the new trucks. Every truck out there had an est. of 13 - 18 mpg's. Some were 4x4 some were 4x2 some cm some dc and they even had 1 rc shorty. When I bought mine, all of the 4x2's had an est. of 16 - 20 mpg's. Anyone know what happened? Anyone? Anyone?
Yeah...they definately take the worst numbers and throw em on the sticker. I get about 16 (strictly city) and 20 or so like the sticker on your 07 said, but my 08 sticker said 13 and 17! Someone prolly bitched about their mpgs and Toyota changed the numbers on the sticker. I say 16 and 20 is about what you should get if you don't race every civic you see (maybe 2 a week). But when I get froggy and test that 911 next to me, yeah 13 is about right! haha
