There iz no latch on the rc grille.. Your hood will lock and close there just wont be a safety latch.the latch is on the truck itself. Just gotta do some cuttin and mount it to the surround. Hope this helps

Hey Yates!! Had a quick question, I just received my Royalty Core Grille and was wondering how the latch to open the hood was mounted on the RC grille since you have to cut out the center piece where it is mounted on the factory grille? Emailed RC this morning but prob wont hear back till monday. Thanks for any help you can give me!! Scott
