In the 488 gears vs. Auburn thread you posted this.
"I agree with everyone else, you should do both. The Auburn LSD will give you the traction you need and the 4.88 gears will REALLY be needed with 37" tires and the 4.7 engine. When I installed the 38" tires on my truck, (before I added the S/C), I could really feel the affect of the weight and gearing change when driving, especially on the freeway, and I have the 5.7 engine. So you're really going to notice it with the 4.7. Also, don't forget to get add a Hypertech calibrator to account for the bigger tires and new gears. Good luck."
What is the hyper tech for? I have a 6" lift, 35s (34.5s), and I am having the 488s and Auburn installed tomorrow.
