I see in your Signature that you're running Cooper St Maxx tires... what are your thoughts of them? What have you run in the past?

I ran a few sets of BFG all terrains, and a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers on my 02 Tundra.. Wasn't a fan of the nitto's.. so I had been looking for alternatives for my 2015. I was looking hard at the Toyo AT2's, but they're on backorder for who knows how long. The ST Maxx's have recently gained my attention, but I can't find any real/long term reviews of them.

I put the 285 70's on and bought the rw rims for it from another member, 275 65 r18 came on it and those rims are my winters now.
Yes my only issues with anything was getting a really good alignment with the 2.5' of level, so look into the upper control arms, it's not that big of a deal to get it done and its worth it to get it right. Its the level that puts it out of adjustment, but you dont really notice till you spend some cash on nice rubber then see them getting wrecked!! And wider tires do compound the issue as well
The reason i went with the 70's is, that is what was offered in the tread pattern i wanted (cooper st maxx).
Not all truck wear tires the same so who knows, maybe you are good, just watch them for a while to see.My buddy has had a tundra for 4 years and has gone through a few sets of tires and just never noticed what was happening.

Your truck came with 285/70/17 on those wheels I assume. So, the level was your only issue then? Since I've been on the 2.5 level with no issues for a few months and I'm only going taller (not any wider) with tires should I be ok without new UCAs or is there a potential problem?

It's only a couple hundred bucks difference between the 70s and 75s but I'd hate to eat either of them up after spending a grand on them.

    Thanks for the help,
    Brent

    Mr Truck:
I'm looking for 285/75/17 on my RW wheels and looking at your rig I have to ask what/how much lift are you on? I'm getting mixed info on whether they'll fit or not. I have a 2011 DC with ReadyLift 2.5, stock rear. No problems?

    TIA,
    Brent
