ToyTec 3" Lift

Just finished installing a Toytec 3" lift kit on my 2005 Tundra. 3" front lift with coil spacers and 1-1/2" rear lift with add a leafs. Kit included the diff drop and brake proportioner drop. I am happy with the look and ride. Ride is a little stiffer but the handling actually seems much better.
New tires in line this week should finish the look. Will definitely be switching to GoodYear after getting an average of 88,000 miles on the three sets I had on my T100 with 266,000 miles.
These original Goodrich tires only have 40,000 on them and they look terrible.
Am considering the GoodYear Fortura Silent Armor in 265/75 R16 unless someone suggests something better. The tires on now are 265/70 R16 so I should gain a little size without looking too bad.
Now I need to find a good detailer in the Milwaukee, WI area. Anyone?????

Welcome to the site! The first gen Tundra is gaining popularity here big time! IMO the first gen has a better track record than our newer ones. Less issues for sure.
Bro stick with the BFG's, just about the best tire money can buy IMO. Excellent ride and you will get a ton of miles out of em. All terrain M/T KO is a sweet one. If not try checking out the Toyo Open Country MT. You should try removing the mud flaps from your Tundra, it will make a bigger tire look better in the wells.

Deznutjob, I will argue with you about the BFG's. History has gotten me more mileage and a nice ride out of the GoodYears. I know two guys with Tundras and BFG's and they stick with them and typically get only 40,000 miles. I have run the Goodyear Fortera and Wranglers and got over 80,000 with both. The Fortera is a nicer ride, quieter and better handling in the rain. The Wranglers are better off road though.
Yea, the mud flaps and running boards will go in the future. I am going to design and build a custom set of tubes when time allows.

I beg to differ with the both of you I am running 265/75/R16 Nitto Terra Grapplers on my 02 AC and I have approx 40,000 miles on them and there is over 50% of the tread left! I don't have the tire roll on the street and they handle great and off-road they are some of the best tires I have ever had I love them they grab like no other! They are made by Toyo so you know there is quality in them!

No need to argue, more than once I've got over 70k miles out of BFG's on and off road!

Hey man clean Tundra bro ^^^^^^^. You should look into the BFG KO MT. The size is 255-85-16. It's equal to a 33" tall tire and you will not need spacers to fit em like on a 285-75-16. It's also taller than that size. But it will prolly cost more. But without a doubt the Silent Armor is a great tire as well as the Nitto. Only thing to the Nitto is not as aggressive. The Silent Armor is like rock. The Nitto is like the budget tire but has potential. The Toyo AT is very good as well.

Nice truck though man. You should get the 255-85-16 it will make it taller. But it's all up to you.

Hey ^T-sak12m. You have a pic of your truck. Your setup looks clean. Are you running stock wheels?

OK, after t-sak12m's post I researched those tires and located a dealer real close to home. I ended up with the Nitto Terra Grapplers in 285/75 R16 and had no clearance problems, very close in full turn and close to the upper A arm but not hitting. I did not need spacers as kit suggested in his post. In fact the tire garage didn't know what I was talking about. How do the spacer get installed?

No matter what tire you put on, I have learned the trick is to rotate them, keep proper pressure and keep alinged. A little cost involved but never had any tires wear out before 50-60k. Had several brands. BFG A/T is my favorite tire. Never owned an M/T tire though.

Yea, that is how I got over 80,000 on several sets of GoodYears.
Every 15,000 miles, rotate and balance. Align every 6 months.

^^^Hey man your truck looks nice with the Nitto's. Good choice on the tire a real bang for the buck you know. The wheel adapters/spacers will push the wheel out from 1"-2" depending on how much you want to spend. Usually about $100 for 2.

kit:
Where do you get these spacers and do you only have to do the front?
I have never modified any of my 4WD's with lifts and tires, in case you haven't noticed.

Never mind I found your other post with the response. Thanks
