New to the website and wanted to see if any of ya'll could help with some radio info. I have the basic CD/FM/AM head unit #A51804. This is my 2nd tundra, but I don't remember the radio in my first one being this poor. I've been researching and reading and from what I can tell, I have no external amp, nor do I have the correct pin plugs to add the JBL amp and head unit.
Do any of you have an understanding of this radio and do you agree that the sound quality/volume level is poor? Any ideas for possible solutions to upgrade sound without losing the factory look? Am I wrong about the JBL? Could I purchase a used JBL Toyota stereo w/amp and make work with my wiring scheme?
