Question stock tires and rims

can anyone tell me if the stock rims (alloy with plastic center caps) have any offset. i want to buy some 17's and put some larger tires than the 265/70/16's. i do have a 3" lift kit on the truck but i don't think a 0 offset enkei sp6 17x8's with 33" tires will clear the upper a arm. anybody know or have a solution...

Does body lift v. suspension lift dictate max tire size?

I have an 05 access cab 4X4 with no lift and I was wondering what the max tire size would be.

Cheers,

Bob

I just put some 265/75/16 Yokahomas on mine and think if you go bigger you would need the 2 inch blocks for the front springs. I read where 285's will fit with the blocks. My Yoko's look great and are 1.5 taller than the 265/70's that were on it.

Do yourself a favor and get coil overs to lift enough to fit tires not blocks. Your ride will be better. There are many of them out there now and you will be happier evertime you drive it !

B&C, I'm not going any bigger than the 265/75's on mine but the coilovers is a better idea if it fit's a persons budget.

Daystar makes a good spacer you put into your coil over that I just put on my wife 4 runner and it lifted 2.5" and was ony $100.00. Pretty easy to do yourself or shop will charge about an hour of labor. The ride seems to be the same as before too. Other have them too. 4 Wheel parts is where I got hers.
