Multi information display retrofit

Hey,

New guy here. Anyone ever try to wire in a factory "multi information display" to a truck that didn't originally come with that?

I have an '06 Tundra and have the multi information display with HomeLink from a similar year Sequoia handy. I do not have the compass sensor that is affixed to the metal underside of the roof.

I know that some of these projects aren't too difficult to hook up (plug-in-play), but this looks a bit more challenging than other projects I have done.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated. I'd rather not even try if it turns out to be a real cobbled together type thing.
