How to black out badges?

Hey guys,

I've been reading the forums and learning as much as I can. I've searched for how to do this, and maybe I missed it, but I can't find out to black out the emblems ("Tundra", "iForce", etc.).

I bought some plastidip and I'm itching to use it

Check out to dip it section of forums or you tube it. I just plasti dipped both bumpers. Emblems , and my grill. :-). Its addicting.

Just debadged mine. Ive seen the smoke color done on black and doesnt look bad

He hand painted the red on the 5.7 emblem and left the rest black/chrome per my request. Heard plasti dip worked great for most, but this is something I wants to last the life of the truck. Heard to many stories of plasti dip peeling, melting, or getting chemical spray and messed up. Not saying it doesn't work or anything, just wasn't the direction I chose.

Dipped mine and relocated.

Just dipped mine today and there's nothin to it! The only real pain is peeling the plasti dip out from inside the D, R and A. A toothpick worked okay, but it just takes time. I can see where taking the badges off would make that part easier, but probably not any less time consuming. I sprayed the whole 5.7 badge, but I'm still a bit torn on whether I should leave it that way or just take it off completely. Gonna leave it for a few days and see what I think.

Anyway, if you've been thinking about plasti dip and haven't done it yet, do it! It's really easy and can be peeled off if you just hate it.

Anyone know where I can get iForce V8 badges? Instead of the red background it would be dark silver
