Dipped my chrome bumpers

You can wash it normally but if you get close with the washer its going to peel up the plasti... people wash their trucks all the time with the plasti on it.

My grill for instance, I take it through a car wash that has guys with pressure washers and brushes cleaning the outside before I go through a high pressure no-touch wash inside the bay... holds up fine.

But if I took a washer and held it a few inches from the plasti I bet it'd peel right off, thats how I took it off my side steps awhile back.

3 cans of white plasti-dip and 2 cans of glossifier on the way from dipyourcar.com to do my front bumper.

Windexh8er I blame you for bringing this thread to the top and causing me to spend $80 on some color match paint for my bumpers...
I already had the plasti dip and intended to plasti dip them, but now I am going to OEM color match over the dip and clear coat them and see how that looks. None of the pictures in this thread showed for me so I am doing it blind...

Just think of it as my contribution to the fiscal stability of our fine country! And thanks for pointing out my big miss - that there's actually clear coat on Automotive Touchup. Doh. Going to raid some Home Depot's today for Plasti and also place an $80+ order for paint. Although, my wife said she likes the chrome bumpers. *sigh* She has a great eye for a pair of heels, but automotive... Nah.

Going to be ordering the cans today for the oem paint.
About how many can should I order of the oem paint and clear coat.

Will this clear coat work or do you guys recommend something else?

boss,i am sorry about no reply. i wasn't following this thread anymore and just clicked on today. it's automotive touchup clear coat spray is what i used. 2012 Toyota Tundra Touch Up Paint Colors
