Dog Hair

I have Black interior and have two dapple weiner dogs that shed a little in the back seat. I have tried that sticky roll paper to get up the hair and it doesn't do a great job. Shop vac only gets the loose stuff out. I worked on it for 20 minutes, but not happy with the results. Anyone have a solution?

Thanks for the replies ahead of time.

Mick

I have the same interior, and it seems impossible to clean up every pice of lint. Seat cover for sure!

My coon hound/lab mix sheds like crazy. I keep a king size sheet in the truck for anytime I put him in there. Other then that get a lint brush, and take your time bushing the seat out.

I have a gray pit bull and a boxer, both of them shed a little in the truck. I have found that a roll of packaging tape works better than a lint roller. Plus it lasts a lot longer too.

Thanks all for the responses. I will either keep them in their crate or throw a sheet down in the back seat with them. I will try the packing tape as well. I didn't know if anyone tried those gloves that supposedly help remove dog hair from furnature. I like the black interior. Shows very little dirt.

mick - I have found that using a sheet is the best option for keeping as much hair off of the seat as possible. But with my dogs, they like to move around, so they can still get some hair on the seats. But nothing like it would have been without the sheet. I use the tape once I take the sheet out just to make sure that I get all the hair up. Good luck.

An old school lint brush would work much better than the sticky roller type would.

I used to have a Yellow Lab that shed more hair than she grew .

A trick I used when cleaning the carpet and cloth seats was a simple bucket of water. Dip your hand in the water and "sweep" up the hair with your wet hand. This method worked far better than the shop vac, shipping tape and lint roller that I previously tried.
Try it, you'll be surprised by the results.

Hope this helps,

Vince

The best thing for dog hair is one of those stickey roller gizmos, they work great.
