So I used this blue sticky stuff to stick a velcro patch my grand daughter wanted me to stick on my glove box.
It was fine until my wife drove the truck and somehow it fell off.
So the glove box had the size of the stick stuff square on it and it was like the blue stuff left a residue so I used alcohol to wipe it off and made it worse.
I have put multiple coats of Aerospace 303 on it and it still looks like this.
It looks more like the sticky stuff sucked whatever oil was in the plastic out.
So how do I fix it?
Maybe try a Mr Clean sponge in an inconspicuous place then on your stained area? I used to detail cars and that was a good catch all for stains on plastic interior pieces.
I want to Thank everyone for their suggestions especially @tundrav8yamaha.
I especially want to Thank @Mista Bob Dobalina for his wonderful art work.
When I get the replacement that is a 1/2 shade different than mine and drives me just as crazy, I may print out and trace his artwork over the original .
That is impossible.
If I had that in my truck, I would focus on it EVERY FU(KING TIME I got in it.
I would have spent whatever to fix it, even if it took buying an entire glove box..
But I'm the guy that spent $300 on a new tail pipe after a local shop butchered mine on a magnaflow install.
They cut off the rear bolt-on connection, and the magnaflow had the drone from the inner depths of HELL.
When I bought the BA muffler bolt on, I had to replace their butchering of reinstalling that bolt-on for my own state of mind.
A tailpipe error no one would have ever noticed but me...
But it is sweet now with my new tailpipe and welded tip..:x
Take the wife's hair dryer or a heat gun on low "if you have one". Start about a inch away and work towards the center of the spot, just dont get it too hot or touch it when it's hot, let it cool and see what it looks like, you may have to repeat a few times but it should go away.
I may put the Captain America Patch back on.
I had purchased it and it was laying in the console of my truck and my grand dauighter told me I should put it on the windshield. We comprimised and I stuck it on the glovebox.
