has any of yuo used the "3 step system" by Meguiar?
After washing the car the process includes the following: 1) applying a paint cleaner 2) polish 3) apply Carnauba wax a different Meguiar's product is used in every step, based on the instructions. I bought all the products required today in autozone. A friend of mine recommended it to me and I have had great experiences with Meguiars products before so thought I should give it a try this weekend. any tips or personal experiences would be appreciated thanks ![]()

I had a 93 Ford Ranger which was red and did not have a clear coat and I used the three step system. It worked awesome but Im not sure how it would work if your truck has a clear coat. The polish does just that, it polishes the surface so swirl marks might be a concern. I used the same system on a red 02 Ram and it left swirl marks. But, that was a couple years back so maybe things have changed. A body guy I know told me to never use a polish on a clear coat.

I used 3 step system on my 1991 corvette years back and it worked well, thats when I had time. Now time limited so I have found a product that not only washes your vehicle it waxes it also with no water usage!!! As you know when you wash your truck , the water from the bed can continue to drainfor hours destroying your dry job!!! I have been using Freedom 1 car wash & polish on my 2005 & now my 2007 Tundra and it works great!!!! Hard to explain,go to Freedom waterless car wash.com and look at Dave's products, realy works great for me!!!!

thanks for the input. I dont mind about spending some time on it this weekend as long as I get great results. BUt will this system be safe for my new truck? I just want to make sure I wont cause any damage on the paint.
thaks again
