What will take off old BUGS on the front Bumper???

Help, I just purchased a used 2006 blue Tundra and Love it. My problem is the original owner didn't keep the front bumper clean. I have tried mild soaps, heck even polishing compound with no luck. Can anybody help???

try goof-off, check a not so visable area first though. I am assuming we are talking about real chrome and not plastic. Don't use goof-off on plastic. You may need to use the rough side of a sponge too. Good luck.

Try a clay bar. I've heard they will take off everything. Haven't tried personally, but just ordered one from Amsoil.

Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover. It's been around for almost 30 years and works great...

I've had good luck with wd-40. I think someone once told me it has some kerosene in it, so you may want to avoid spraying it on plastic.

Great advice. I think I did more damage with a clay bar than I did good. No clay bars on a black truck unless you know what you're doing. Trust me on this.

Peanut butter works great to for removing stuff like tar and bug guts. DO NOT use chunky, just regular old peanut butter... wipe on like you would wax and then wash off. Bug and tar mess gone!!!

OK, I tried Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover today and I think the bugs laughed at it. Mabe 10 % better. These must be 6 month old bugs at least ????? I am thinking spray it down with W-D 40 and let it sit over night. If that doesn't do it I am thinking ultra fine sand paper and compound!!!!!!!
Nothing I have tried so far works.
Still looking for the miracle cure......

Help,
Keith
