those of you that have a tundra without tow mirrors will notice that the mirrors will drip for days siple fix is use and are gun to blow out your mirror before you dry the car forcing the air through the back of the mittor housing

I hate that. Same happens on the door handles and under the hood where it hits the bumper when closed. I actually just left some towels under the hood over night. I used a detail spray to clean up any watermarks from the handles/ mirrors.

Somewhere I read that a guy used RTV or something inside the plastic cover. There is an aluminum plate under there, which is why the drips have that alky chalk look to them, at least on my Slate color. I'm thinking a good fix might be take the mirrors off, mask off and paint the aluminum piece to remove the chalky portion, then "possibly" depending how it sets up, use some silicon to seal it up and keep water out. All speculation as I haven't been in there yet.

I've been using my electric leave blower to blow out the water around my door handles, moldings, and mirrors. Works like a charm.

lol I thought I was crazy. I have to agree this is extremely annoying, yuo leave yuor car all clean and sharp looking and when you come back half an hour later drops of water all over the doors . I will try the leave blower.

I just open my doors and slam them shut a few times to get all the excess water out and clean it right up.

I truley thought that mine was the only truck that had this problem. I will try the blower next wash. Does anyone elses seem to stain the truck? I am having a heck of a time removing the dried drips.

They're no different than other water stains. You'll have to buff them out if you let them dry.

I have been trying the blower and it works at first, but like 15 minutes later the water drops appear again

I don't know what to tell ya. After I wash my truck, I use one of those squeegees to dry off the truck first, which is so much easier since I removed all the badges, and my son follows up behind me with a towel. Then I start with the blower in the front of the truck and work my way down each side with my son there to catch all the water streaks that I blow out. Now I do tend to spend anywhere from 1-2 minutes on each mirror, since I have towing mirrors.
