Ok I completed my debadge last weekend. Found a flaw under the tundra badge on the drivers door. Cannot figure out how this happened. The badge is in perfect shape. So it was either placed on after the dent at the manufacturer or the previous owner had a serious door ding and just replaced the badge over it. As you can see its right in the middle of the lower part of the D. Not a great pic. But dent and paint is missing. The white is grey metal. Regardless. What do I do? Can I buy touch up paint from the dealer? Afraid to detail and have more paint strip off.

The DA wont remove or srtip the paint, they arent that strong. Give it a good wash, detail like normal and see how it looks. Can you actually feel that the paint is gone and youre down to the primer.....or is it just paint transfer? You can fix paint transfer with your DA.

OK good, I will see how it comes out. Yes, it is a small dent and is scratched down to the primer. I can catch the edge with my fingernail....its quite deep. Any suggestions and where to get touch-up paint? I have a couple small scratches that are to the primer as well.

OK, I did the job yesterday. it is a lot of work and took about 6 hours. there is a LOT of paint on a Tundra. I LOVE the griots DA. I did the wash, I didn't have a clay bar so skipped that step, then Maguirs 105 on setting 5, then maguirs 205 on setting 5, completed with Collinite 845 on setting 2. A lot of elbow grease after each step. I learned about using the correct amounts, you really do not have to go too heavy at all, makes wiping off easier and still does the job. I got "most" of the desert pin striping gone or at least reduced. Some would not come out all the way I may need another product. Can't get a pic because it doesn't show up on the camera.

It did remove all the outlines from my de-badge so there is no evidence of badges, and luckily, not paint fade either

Although a little stiff this morning, sat in the jacuzzi for an hour last night

Heres a couple pics. I will post many more over on the post your latest tundra pic thread. Thanks for all the help here guys, especially Jumbo.

Very mirror-like reflection!!!

Their MF system is really nice. The MF cutting pads are really the way to go for heavy cutting. I have a bunch by most of the different manufactures, LC, Optimum, Uber and Meguiars and they all perform great. I've had a couple separate on me, but that's normal after a ton of use.

I've found that Meguiars D300 works better than M105 with a MF cutting pad. D300 is formulated to work with the MF pads, and really cuts down on the dreaded dusting issue associated with M105. However, Meguiars is soon to be releasing the much anticipated M101 in the states in a month or so. Only available in Europe and Asia as of now, M101 should be selling here soon. M101 is supposed to have much better cutting and finishing ability over M105, and best of all with minimal dusting. For awhile, detailers were selling a gallon of M101 online for $200, and little sample bottles for $40. The rumor is that a 32oz. bottle of M101 will retail for $58.

But to me, even better news is that Menzerna will be releasing their Fast Gloss 400 (FG 400) in the states in the next few weeks. I'm eagerly on the waiting list at DD for my bottle.
