Update ... Just got off the phone with an installer from Top Gun. They were very nice but had not heard of issues of that nature. He did mention that similar kits on the Tacoma and 4-runner did have 1-inch spacers under the diff to take strain off the boots; however, the Tundra did not have these available. He was unable to inform me of the particular years that could match to make a different kit fit for the Tundra. I guess I will do some fact finding from Toyota and go back to the install shop to see if shim/spacer can be fabricated. I gave him my contact information and hope to hear back if a solution can be found. If others have had this issue, please report it as they will work on a solution but stated that I was the first that he received.

I'm surprised this kit doesn't come with diff spacers for the 4wd trucks. You may have a sensitive CV joint, meaning its having problems with the added angle from the lift. Ask the dealer to check the CV joints on that side and the wheel bearings just for good measure. Strange though, I've always known Toyota CV joints to take a pretty mean angle, it's always the boots you gotta watch out for. If you tear a boot you will dry out the CV joint and it will eventaully explode. Not good. Boot replacment though it looks simple is costly! Another thing that not many people know is the front axles on these 4x4 trucks turn full time, they engage electronically in the diff when you push the button. I had a 2000 4x Tundra that I lifted pretty high and added an excessive amount of angle to the CV joints so I installed "Warn" manual locking hubs. This stopped the axles from turning until you got out and locked them in manually. This saved ware and tare on the joints and boots.
